Instead of just taking all of our shards let us keep them to convert into Glimmer just like Planetary Materials and Rain-Makers.
Glimmer is always an issue, some of us have been playing for years with thousands of hours and we're still having issues with Glimmer, remove shards from dropping, fine, that's okay, but completely deleting them when we've put in the time is NOT okay, at the very least allow us to trade them in for Rain-Makers if nothing else, and maybe even send an Email to your players letting the ones who might not know or be playing right now have a chance to get on and trade them in for SOMETHING.
I've got over 94K Shards and I don't even get an ounce of glimmer for it? That's messed up...

Based on the wording of the TWID, raid banners, glimmer exchange, and Rahool's special orders for Prisms, Cores, and Alloys should still be available for Legendary Shard exchange throughout season 23.

It would have to be more glimmer than can currently fit in the glimmer column for it to feel like it was worth it. If they wanted to truly acknowledge our commitment to legendary shards perhaps they could inscribe the names of everyone that has ever had over 40k on the walls of the city in game. We will not discuss why I picked 40k as the cutoff.
