My son starts playing D2 and despite the fact, that it is extremely ugly to sort out, what package to buy and what not (why is there not just one actual DLC and ONE legacy package????), I got really upset when he ranked up and could not get beyond Rank 8, because for Rank 9 he needs to finish Spire of the watcher, which is of course NOT included in the 4 packages I already purchased for him. So, I shall spend another 20 bugs for one dungeon, only that he can reach rank 9 and following?

You'll need to buy more. Give up on the ranks.

Edited by Brickinthewall87: 8/17/2023 5:43:11 PMGuardian rank doesn't do anything, and gets reset every few months. Don't spend the $ just for guardian ranks. If you're going to spend the $ make sure it's because he wants to play the content you're buying, not for a number that doesn't actually mean anything. Or make him do chores or something to earn it. Sounds like you spent a fair amount already

The guardian rank #s are meaningless grind. the dungeon however is excellent and a lot of fun.

Edited by whiskeychaser: 8/17/2023 2:30:53 PMIt resets every season, so most people ignore it. For instance, the two best players on my raid team are rank 7, the lowest of our group. It's bait. With that said, spire was worth $10.

You dont have to buy anything… ranks means nothing. Pay for the content you want like in any other game

I’m still rank 6 lol

Honestly its a pointless number that no one pays attention to. I wouldn't worry about it, also hardly anyone gives commendations, just 2 things added to the game that took time and effort to design and implement that mean nothing when they could have spent that time on something else.

The rank resets each season. It is a meaningless number, why bother?
