I wont trust corporate bungie to allow them to do what they want, sure the balance team has done terrible over the years, but that is probably due to the corporates of bungie ruining everything, thank you Joe for coming out and showing us the devs are still wanting to do well. Tbh I dont have much faith tho still, Joe is a good guy and Id guess the dev team too, they dont deserve this death threat bs.
In the end though i dont know if it can be accomplished, corporate bungie holds most of the power, and that is why games like OW2 were ruined due to corporate. I just hope Joe can fix things, I doubt seeing your dream game die due to corporate greed is fun.
The maps need help, the balancing of classes and abilities need help, the seasonal model is atrocious, the dlc's are to overpriced for their value, and pvp needs a complete separate balancing team for years now, permanently. I dont have much player trust with your corporates anymore Joe, but i have trust in you.
Also Joe not everyone hates you even though you may get hate comments in your new streams.
Good luck Joe, you are our last hope for this game to be good again, but it will require a lot of effort to fix the player trust broken partially by your team and mostly by corporate.
Once again, good luck Joe, you have the communities whole attention.

Our last hope? He's been in the job 3 years & has blatantly lied twice this year. He's incharge of nothing, he's given a budget & told to make it work, & this video told us pretty much nothing & was ordered by don parsons or Sony.

Over the last 3 years he's been the boss. Joe gets no understanding or consideration. Every patch that extended play time Joe signed off on it. TFS 50% off. Or... Watched on YouTube.

Oh yes, trust the corpo. He has our best interests at heart, of course.

It’s a psychological experiment to see how many times you can say we will do better - and get away with it. I’ve witnessed disturbing results.
-
God help us if he is our last hope. He is one of the major reasons its failing so badly now.

My gut is saying the game is over. Until it's sold or becomes a priority again, I wouldn't expect much. The game feels like it has less than the maintenance team working on it. Much less content than we had in the final year of D1 when the core developers were working on D2. Those talking about balance, that will never be a priority. They want to sell the latest and greatest, then nerf it once the next stuff comes out. Any buffs or tweaks are to make money or fatten up the numbers of stuff no one uses. I think people have to lower their expectations or move on. Hopefully, some of the 1000 employees were working on something other than a PVP game. Hopefully, they'll be some good games coming out this year.

Sony actually holds the power now. People are dense if they think Sony won't step in and Activision Bungie if they need to.

Joe who?

Like every video game, D2 has a budget to work within and the game director doesn’t get a blank cheque to make whatever they want. Even the people at the top have investors to answer to. Anyone desperate for major changes should wait until they are delivered in game. A lot of the disappointment I read on these forums comes from players who have imagined something that was ‘promised’.
