From the state of the game we are getting one new map a year and no more ritual armor sets due to lack of resources. But with the recent price hike for the season pass and the all of the things in the eververse store and hell even the event pass, more money is being spent on the game than ever. So the question I have is where is it all going? If you include the recent acquisition of 2 BILLION dollars that was used to buy bungie you guys should be swimming in money right now and able to make whatever you want. So what is going on in the studio where you can’t make anything new?

Ok, also... Sony's money did not go to Development. It's all shareholder and stock junk as proof of acquisition / ownership. Bungie as a company essentially got nothing out of it. Go to Page 12 And "can't make anything new"? That's a reach... Look, I love getting new stuff. The ritual armour per expansion drop sucks but isn't going to make me lose sleep though. There's still the seasonal armour set + ornaments + weapons + new perks to chase + raid / dungeon addition per season + seasonal activities + Exotic Missions + story cutscenes and work done + Final Shape in development with it's new raid. Whether they're good or not is subjective, and sometimes objective (reskins, re-releases included). But it's not like content stopped being generated. Devs get paid for any and all work they put in. Mocap sessions need recording and cleanup, audio gets recorded and lip-synced, Actors get paid, narratives are scripted, lore entries get written, emotes get animated, weapons get created or updated, perk pools are shuffled and updated, Locations and scenery are created, Old content gets ported, Armour is made, Shaders get produced, sandbox gets touched up, encounters get scripted and AI gets pathed. All condensing down into "Man, Bungie doesn't do anything >:( "

I imagine that it’s going to investors, shareholders, other projects (Matter, Marathon etc..). Don’t forget business costs. With an average salary of $80k+ with employee benefits, pension, healthcare etc.. on top for the 900 employees the staffing costs are not insignificant (likely to be $100 million+). Then there’s the building costs, IT infrastructure, furniture, equipment etc..

Marathon and Final Shape development is my bet.
