Cerberus Catalyst Rework

This gun is trash, and they catslyst? Worthless. But dont worry, I got you Bungo. Now this gun is, erratic to say the least. So much that its unusable. So get the catalyst it has now and kick it out the door. No one uses that mode anyways. Heres the new one. Catalyst - "Drastically increases the accuracy of all the barrels." (Huge improvement so the gun can actually be used) - "Increases fire rate slightly" (Its a little too slow in my option. This one is optional.) This is the cherry on top of the cake though, and im proud of it. To keep the theme of the gun being erratic and all over, why not take advantage of those extra barrels? - "Adds Solar, Arc, and Void damage to the extra barrels of this weapon." Thats enough said, probably wont be used in pvp but no one used autos anyways really. But will be more alive in pve id think. Thoughts?

  • I think the catalyst should be basically what khavostov was in d1. Basically hold the reload button and do an animation to change between barrels and it changes between auto, pulse and scout. Each should have a different intrinsic champion mod too, not that those three aren’t always in the artifact already.

  • I agree that the catalyst is crap. It's a good weapon in certain situations, like against shield Cabal. Absolutely rips them apart. It's good against groups of minions too. Used to be my go to weapon.

  • Honestly instead. Update it so cerberus uses a unique spread like shotguns aka less random and slightly more accurate. Update the catalyst so all the shots are in a very small spread and increase precision damage in pve by like 100% but decrease body damage by 60% no change to rpm basically make it a reward/punish. For pvp it'd probably need a reduction in both to be balanced but I'm not sure the exact numbers that'd be needed especially with how it's weird range works.
