Rant

This is a rant. I need to put these thoughts somewhere. Ok so there is this guy I have had this huge crush on since the beginning of the school year. We've gotten along amazing and we just talk about anything. From our feelings, problems, and videogames. During the year we would talk for hours at school, at his house, on the phone(texting). Now that it is summer vacation, he's become very dry through text and he'll just leave during the middle of the conversation. I mean, I know he can be busy and he has summer school right now, but would it hurt just to tell me he has to go do something or he's busy at the moment. Instead of leaving me hanging and wondering what happened. I know this sounds really petty. End of rant. Yay.

    • Try not to get too upset by it. I made that mistake back in school, and I really wish I could take back the things I said. I wound up being kind of clingy, and it was awful. It’s very likely not any foul intentions with him not telling you he’s busy, and it can be hard to read emotion over text, so if he still seems happy to talk in person, you’re probably still all good. My advice would be to try to schedule some hangouts. Sounds like you guys just click better in person to me.

      • Hmm well, I would suggest talking to him, to see what's going on. If he's just busy, then try to find something for you to do while you wait for him to get back. People can get pretty busy sometimes, and that's the great thing about texting, you can reply when your in the middle of something, or you can leave for a bit and come back later to continue the conversation instead of having to reply immediately. Try not to be too upset when he doesn't get back, I totally relate, it can get upsetting when someone doesn't reply immediately. But that's ok, try not to be too bothered. Also, if he comes off as dry, maybe it's just because he's busy and has to be quick, he's tired, or maybe it's just because he's bothered about having to do summer school, not because he's bothered with you

          • You kind of notice during school breaks or when you move onto college/university, the circle around you change pretty rapidly.
