If you are seeing a not-so-fast error message then you are indeed banned for 500 years. Bungie will never tell you why they banned you, it's up to you to review the policies you agreed to and figure it out.
You can send in an appeal at the below link but you should note that there is no guarantee you will get a response. If you don't get a response within 30 days, your ban was correctly placed and will not be removed. You will have to play another game as your time in Destiny is over.

This is not true. I still can't accept this. This is unreal. Is there any false ban going on? I don't see any reason for my account to get ban. Been playing this game for years legit. This is just false. Not after thousand of hours and money invested in this game.

Sorry to say but if you are seeing a not-so-fast message then you are 100% banned for violating Bungie's policies. Your ban will expire in 500 years' time (2523). Common reasons for a ban but are not limited to... - Account sharing - Having a malicious program open at the same time Destiny 2 is - Abuse of accessibility tools (EG: Using a macro to gain an unfair advantage) - Paying for a carry in the ToO activity - Win Trading - Malicious networking - ...and more. Full details and ban appeal are available at http://bungie.net/ban. Send in your appeal then wait 500 years for the ban to expire. There is no support for bans through the forums. -

Remember; there is no guarantee you will get a reply, and nor will they tell you why they banned you. If you don't get a reply within 30 days of sending your one and only appeal, you should consider your ban correctly placed. I recommend you find another game to play as it's very likely your time in Destiny is over forever. Hardly anyone gets their ban removed. -
See my post above. This is not a guy doing anything that should have resulted in a ban. Bungie needs to review ASAP, because there's no way this was a legitimate ban. And if we're all out here with zero hope if something like this happens...how can we ever enjoy playing?

And why would Bungie provide hope to those that can't follow the rules? Especially Cheaters.

Seriously I still cant believe this is happening after all this years, time, effort and money put into this game. And most important part is, I just logout like 5hrs ago to run some errands and then when i want to login just now, it says my account was banned. Unreal.
