Before I begin, I'm not salty that I didn't win. However, I'm salty about WHO won.
How come Patrick, Yoda, and the Mask won? These outfits have been overdone and overused (and have won previous contests if I remember correctly). They aren't even season of the Deep themed! Also, the same person won twice in the same event!
Also to note: The original creator of the Patrick Star drip never even won any of the fashion shows despite having assembled the drip first!!! (Seriously, get that man his emblem!)
Please Bungie, have a legit submission page where you can filter by earliest submissions. Also, save which outfits have won somewhere and disregard repeat submissions.
If this event had not been mismanaged like it was, it would've been really cool and really fun. I want to see more events like this, but they need to be done right.

Bungie has put so much effort into eververse that it’s very hard to come up with fashion unless you drop $500 lol
-
"making games is hard" So is doing community relations.

What is more unfair is Trials
-
Bungie DGAF about any of it's players. They're going through the motions like weekend at bernies.

Edited by Desolator0: 6/19/2023 11:44:10 AMMotW and all other similar "contests" are totally rigged. Cheese Forever posted about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXRcBTimO_A

The fashion "contests" were always rigged. When you are a "nobody" in social media like me, you will never win anything Bungie related. They only pick stuff thats upvoted a lot and you only get upvotes if you either upvote yourself with bot accounts or if you are a content creator with a decent following. Its the most unfair system that exists. But thats what Bungie loves apparently. Pushing fake wholesome content creators who only say positive things about Bungie. I saw SO many awesome participants with the most unique and awesome transmogs. Obviously they didnt win because Cringy only picks stuff by popular participants.

Yall would not have survived Bungie Favorites back in Halo lmao

Edited by The-IIID-Emp1r3: 6/19/2023 6:40:46 AMIt proves that it's rigged, they could've made sure that person didn't previously win before awarding them another

Bungo used the word "drip?"

Edited by TyresiusMordekai: 6/19/2023 7:14:53 PMIs this really top of the concerns list for the game right now? A rigged fashion for streamers event held over twitter? Seriously?
-
(Bungie) "We know you can capture the soul of the Season of the Deep, with just five pieces of armor!" It was so deviant, it is teasing the participants. I had made a creation that had to do with diving by choosing pieces and colors with care. To then see cosplay of beautiful characters win,( but who had nothing to do with the contest.) I never thought I could win, but seeing the contest win with alien creations, is not the theme of the contest. it is clearly a huge joke and there is no justification.
-
Dang, did you write Luckyy 10P's last video script?
-
The people who judged the event probably have no sense of style or originality themselves. Would’ve made sense for Bungie to hire a fashion designer for the day to judge.
-
yeah yeah no one cares

At the very least Bungie should ensure the same person cannot win twice in one single contest. It would also be prudent to only allow one submission per person, multiple submissions from one person should be banned this is to ensure it is fair and does not clog up the submission page and that everyone has a fair chance to win. the final one is pretty obvious if a submission has won a previous contest it cannot be used again even if said submissions some alterations. an easy way to track this is to list the winning outfits from each contest in a hall of fame segment in the contest announcements.

Nobody cares

Edited by Hawpy: 6/19/2023 5:10:49 PMYeah, it is a bit annoying. I used to enter them but I've given up because you need to be the among the first people to post or have a substantial following to have a chance at being seen. The character mock-ups and colourful abominations were fun for a while but now most of the entries are like that, and there's little credit given to outfits that just look good and unique. It's easy to sit here and say "my submissions look way better than the winners", but we've seen enough of those entries and we've also seen enough Guardians that are wearing edgy sets in all white, all black, or either with some red thrown in. It's just a minor gripe, but I way prefer sets that use an Exotic because it means the set is more likely to be functional, rather than one that someone made purely for the contest and never uses again after that. As a side note, the class breakdown needs to be mentioned. Of the 9 winners, there were 5 Hunters, 3 Titans and 1 Warlock - who was dressed as Yoda. Surely it would be fairest to do 3/3/3, or else it's just an acknowledgement that the people choosing the winners prefer the stylings of one class over another?

So hold your own contest with your own awards... Lmao wtf is this nonsense 🤣

Bungie: Overdelivery

Did you try buying Silver?
-
Fashion competitions in a video game are dumb 1000% of the time.
-
I can get the frustration, but I don’t think it’s taken seriously enough to have to fact check drip. It’s just a show me your drip and whoever they like best wins. I’d be surprised if it’s more then employees putting their votes in over a discord channel during lunch. Would be cool if there was one that’s a bit more serious, judge it in originality, maybe colour matching or perfectly hitting a theme. Have community elected people to judge it each event so content creators can’t landslide their viewers votes
-
You thought you would be able to win a rigged contest? There really was no point to try and bungie is just LAZY.
-
I thought I seen those outfits before but I wasn’t sure. Glad this was actually brought up. I think if they’re going to just keep choosing something that’s already won then why bother with it at all at this point? lol. As OP said, I’m not salty about not winning etc, it would just be nice to have something different, something cool and something that isn’t really seen.

Who cares
