The ability overkill in iron banner sucks....give us something like "gunplay" only
-
That was called D2 Vanilla and yall hated it because it exposed how you people don't take cover ever. So they changed it.
-
Wish more games could achieve the gameplay loop d2 has
-
They put Mayhem in the game, I suppose it only makes sense to implement a mode that's the opposite. I wouldn't play it, I suck enough as it is, but I've seen plenty of posts from people requesting something like that. On this forum anyway, I don't know what the takeaway would be like on other forums.

I believe it's called "Call of Duty". Weapons in this game have too many variables. Even ornaments on exotics make the difference between a kill and critically wounding an opponent.
-
There’s a game called Call O Duty. You should try it.
-
Try CoD. That’s what you want.
-
Yeah man stop asking for that. Can't you see all these blueberries can't play without abilities, you're gonna hurt their feelings.
-
Honestly… an anti-ability mode would be pretty sick. If not for iron banner. Just a new crucible mode would be a nice change.
-
Gunplay in D2? U mean infinite grenade on solar/stasis hunters/arc Titans? PvP is dead in this game, young ahamkara spine still alive for a year I think?
-
Team scorch is literally just gun play. If you want pure gun play, then maybe play a different game that doesn't focus heavily on space magic. Technically even games like halo and COD don't even use pure gun play since players spam grenades, equipment, perks/abilities.
-
try a different game.
-
That's the whole point of playing destiny though. Sure it's a shooter but there's a million fps out there. It's all about the space magic
-
Mega bump

I don't play PvP, but from a story perspective why hasn't Shaxx brought in a "no light" version of the crucible? Xivu Arath has, across several seasons, shown an ability to deny us our abilities, and the Crucible's main lore purpose is to train guardians to handle high intensity combat scenarios. Why wouldn't Shaxx have a new mode to help less skilled guardians prepare for these sort of encounters? Gameplay wise I can imagine that it hasn't happened because a large proportion of the PvP community would not want to engage with it because they enjoy the space magic aspect of this game. PvP always suffers when the population drops significantly, in any game.

Or PVP without blatant cheating. That would be good.

I've never had any ability to play PvP.
-
COD and Battlefield is waiting for you Space Magic game is going to have space magic, news at 5
-
CoD or Halo. You want CoD or Halo. Stop asking for a gunplay-only mode in D2. It's a space-magic game about superpowered soldiers. Stop asking the developers of the superpowered soldier space magic game to make a mode without superpowers or space magic. Just F off and go play CoD or Halo.

They could call it 'Boring Mode'.

Better yet, give us Destiny without PvP. -
I've been wanting this since the second week of d1's release.

Edited by OtterTears: 6/4/2023 5:24:32 PMWith special ammo drops so they can’t run around and just shotgun everything. I don’t understand why this game has guns half the time

Edited by nico: 6/4/2023 10:11:39 PMAgree, the abilities are already too much. It feels like mayhem on quickpay while it is super slow and boring on comp. And the new game of Bungie looks like -blam!- - 700 people are making another generic battle royal shooter that looks really blank and already boring for market that is already over saturated with Fortnite, Warzone, Hunt shdw, Escape from T, Apex and so on. Better Bungie pay a little more attention to D2 since they didn't create anything else since halo games.

40% of PVP is learning how to build and play around your abilities. That's unlikely to change, as abilities are the only thing that differentiates subclasses. Momentum Control disables the majority of abilities. You should try that mode.

Call of duty
