Bug report: Destination maps sometimes lose 'artistic' filter.
This is a little hard to explain, but here goes anyway.
Destination maps are beautiful. One thing that makes them that way is a filter of sorts, it looks like some colored 'splashes' on the corners of the screen depending on the location. For example, on nessus these splashes are red, green on the throne world, purple on the dreaming city, and so on.
Here's an example on nessus. Notice the corners of the screen. On the top there's some greenish splashes, and on the bottom some red ones. This simple filter makes the maps very pleasing to look at, but i've noticed that they sometimes do not show up at all, like here.
Here's how I reproduced the issue. From the orbit screen, open the director and go to any map. The filter is there, no problem. But if you leave the map and go to another without leaving the director screen, the filter disappears, making the maps look bland. You can 'fix' it by going to the orbit screen before opening a map, but it isnt convenient at all.
I think this problem started at some point during late beyond light, but strangely enough, it was fixed during season of the haunted or season of plunder. I remember the maps loaded a bit slower, but the filter always stayed there. But then they released a patch to make them faster again and the filter bug came back.
Is this an irrelevant topic? A meaningless bug most wont even notice? Yes, but the art direction of the franchise is phenomenal, always loved it, and it feels a tiny bit sad to see the destination maps look bland, colorless, when a simple filter makes them look gorgeous.
