Need an explanation for the happenings in the new Deep Dungeon (Spoilers inside)

So, devs, story team, anyone with any knowledge not currently in game, since there are no new lore books and the collectibles reveal nothing particularly relevant to the situation; how did Oryx end up on Titan? It's pretty much established if not confirmed inside current cannon that Oryx fell toward Saturn, being pulled by gravity or just shunted away by the force of our attacks, inside the rings, which is absolutely outside the range of where Titan exists. Did Xivu find his body and drag it there for "burial"? Did Savathun? Did she really think she could bring him back with the light given his absolute aversion to it? Did he somehow magically avoid the massive gravitational pull of Saturn for a quick swing around the block to land with a flip in Titans ocean? How did he manage to land so close to the arcology and no one have any idea about it? Would that not have been a thing the hidden would have tracked? Given our knowledge of Hive gods being revived using mere memories? How did this leap in logic ever come to be? I need an explanation that isn't as mudane as "space magic" to make this make sense. Because otherwise you're taking some massive leaps and bounds outside the realm of a nearly decade long story for some really obvious plot holes. Make it make sense for me and the millions of people who have invested in the lore of this universe. I beg of you.

  • Read the lore tab for the royal chase scout rifle. Essentially his body was still floating when the pyramid ships took titan and his body got taken with it

  • The biggest revelation came from the memories, where Sivu confirms that Savathun has engineered every conflict, with Sivu's help, that we've been in since D1. Not limited to.. but including Oryx. Savathun set us up to kill Oryx...

    • He is back because Destiny is the franchise destined to beat Dragon Ball in terms of resurrecting characters.

    • Until something is shown to have placed him there, the only explanation would be plot convenience. Naturally there is 0.0% chance of it happening.

Also while he is big hes not that big, i can imagine being near a planet with rings its common to see stray objects land in the ocean, hes also not that close hes a decent distance away. It seems that Savathun knew the location of Oryx body since that way Lucent Brood we encountered which were Savathuns forces. As well there is no reason to believe he would not be able to be resurrected just because he was the Taken King (you said aversion this is what I imagine you mean specifically) the Light resurrected Savathun so there is no reason to believe it cant resurrect Oryx. As well the death of Oryx was a little unplanned. The ship was still dangerous and having someone track a object like that till it landed would be nigh impossible. Remember how Rasputin wasn’t even active then, there would be no way to track the body. It’s implied that the hidden were constantly looking for it though. Hive gods also cant be revived with mere memories. They have to have a throne world and once killed in that there is no coming back that we know. Id say the biggest issue isn’t even a lore issue but a technical one which is how he landed on Titan. Only thing i could think is he slungshot or Titan was some how close enough to apply some form of gravitational pull on him.

        • He was in the process of dying in the raid. Wouldn't be too far fetched to assume he did something in his final moments

        • My head canon explanation for how he ended up on Titan was that his body was drawn to it due to it housing darkness and Savathuns brood at the time. The body in a lore tab is actually confirmed to still be active and has active darkness and taken energy still spilling out of the body making people even go mad or hallucinate if they r in the presence of it for too long. So while the mind it gone the body still essentially functions

        • One person explained it best. A cabal warship captain dare'd his pilot to hit that oryx guy the hardest he could. Which knocked him towards titan.

        • Maybe Xivu Arath put him there there is a secret collectible in one of the pools rooms which she expresses grief probably the only way he could have gotten there is if he was placed there like as his grave

I thought this exact thing yesterday, saw Byf's video today and he said the same thing! It absolutely does not make any sense. We killed Oryx in the middle of Saturn's rings and sent him falling towards Saturn. A quick search shows that Titan is ridiculously far away from the Dreadnought, so much so that even if Oryx somehow swung around Saturn and launched away, he would still be floating in space, even after many years. It's just not realistic in any way. One only needs to know that Titan is outside Saturn's rings and remember which direction Oryx was falling in order to see how things don't add up. So it's almost certain that Bungie knew that it doesn't make sense and decided to still go with it because the concept of Oryx's resurrection was too interesting.
