Now I feel that this post might generate some hate. Still, I genuinely think that purely due to the length of time that NPCs can be frozen or suspended it removes or reduces the need to use actual champion mods/abilities for the other corresponding champions. I just think that the frozen and suspension animation should last for a fraction of the time on barrier/overload champions than it lasts on regular NPCs so that players can actually focus on stunning them rather than disabling them long enough to get past their mechanics. This is just my opinion, feel free to disagree with it, but it won't change my mind.

I hate to call for more nerfs but youre absolutely correct, suspend is a little bit overtuned at the moment, at least when it comes to champions.

Edited by Yeetus Cleetus: 5/20/2023 3:11:40 AMAs much as I like the fact that suspend does make champions a lot easier to dispose of, I can't in good faith disagree with your post. Perhaps suspend on champions could be the same duration as their stun phase ??? Or maybe the more powerful the enemy, the shorter the suspend duration. Or both. Dunno, just spitballing here. Edit. Same applies to freeze affects.

Don't take this as a hate post. I will forever view champions as a plague in destiny and wish they would be removed. Champions restricted your loadout to certain weapons (not cool) now we have verbs which is cool but there's also strand. Being able to suspend barriers and not having barrier equipped is healthy to me(overloads still gotta be stunned). I believe loadouts should not be restricted in GMs and you should use whatever good weapons your heart desires. Strand with the lingering suspend fragment supports that or having a turret build. GMs have been kinda enjoyable again minus the 25 under light, I remember when GMs didn't have champions.

Suspend doesnt overload champions though. They can still recover health while suspended
