Can you for the love of God change whisper, darci, and queenbreaker to secondary. Nobody uses these, except for a very small few, because the sacrifice of a heavy slot isn’t worth it. People rather have rockets, swords, or a higher damage linear fusion.
While on the topic of Queenbreaker and whatnot.
On the topic of fallen weapons, what happened to dregs promise? There are a lot of weapons that are similar so I don’t get why it’s not in yet?

I actually think Whisper works better in the heavy slot. It fills that role pretty well and just needs a small damage buff to be competitive with other weapons. The other two should definitely move though.

Edited by Seki: 5/18/2023 2:35:22 PM
secondary
This is not your favorite console-only "shooter" (D1).
Can you for the love of God change whisper, darci, and queenbreaker to secondary.
Or, we have them actually do damage in some form and not lose their slot-uniqueness. They wouldn't sit happy as specials either. The Jolt obviously didn't help DARCI much and that was quite forseeable (also, sniper jolt is terrible low because of the high crit multiplyer). They both imo need perk overhauls. ADSing for long enough so breathing is active is way too slow and simply does not yield enough reward.
because the sacrifice of a heavy slot isn’t worth it
this is actually some useful text here
On the topic of fallen weapons, what happened to dregs promise? Hell get Final Warning if you want that autoaim so damn much. I'd rather see some actual weapons for a good shooter experience.

I used to want this. Nobody would use these in the energy/kinetic/darkness slots either. They need buffs, and if you're going to buff them, might as well just keep them heavies and buff them to be viable heavies.

Edited by Jeidd: 5/18/2023 2:33:16 PMMan I wish d2 had like a wave circuit kind of playlist where every 5 waves your weapons would be swapped out to other random weapons. No god rolls or anything just the game picking out a primary secondary and heavy for you.

Edited by DeathPunch556: 5/17/2023 10:47:46 PMAlso I forgot to make this point, but arbalest is easily a better fusion than queensbreaker despite queens being a heavy. Arbalest also allows for the heavy slot to be used by a more effective damaging weapon. If you wanted to do double linear heck I would argue stormchaser and reed’s regret are much better than queens. They’re also arc and stasis*. So it has more variation with damage types. Please be respectful with counter arguments and opinions. Discussions are fine obviously. Thanks

I can see reworks happening to those weapons but they're not going to change the slot.

Edited by Rev: 5/17/2023 10:10:13 PMI feel like part of their appeal as Exotics is that they are Power weapons of archetypes not found in the Power slot, like Legend of Acrius, Tractor Cannon, Leviathan's Breath, and Winterbite. It's likely Bungie wants to be especially careful when tuning them because it's a very delicate tipping point between viable and overpowered for these weapons in particular. If they're too good, everything else would see no usage. If they're not good enough, they would see no usage themselves. Bungie just needs to find that tipping point, however hard it may be. Hopefully the 10% buff to snipers in Season of the Deep will help.

Edited by XcrossX09: 5/19/2023 2:53:40 AMI actually wouldn’t mind the switch to special for queenbreaker. It’s biggest feature is the blind, but it feels like the arc 3.0 equivalent of delicate tomb from season of the plunder in that one deals with the jolt keyword and the other blind. If you kept the perk, reduced base damage to match the other special linear fusions, kept the alternating fire option, and the chain blind function, more people might try it out. You could even make it a blinding explosion on precision hits so it’s more balanced and rewarding for gameplay instead of just a hit. There’s some potentially fun builds you could make with this with certain fragments. Lord of wolves is the fallen shotgun, so this could just be more like the sniper rifle instead.

Whispers is pretty close to the top the 10% will help it immensely the two things it needs are less flinch and more recoil control.
-
Whisper is actually good. Unfortunately, it's only useful in really long dps phases against bosses who don't move much. In modern times, bungie has shortened dps times and made bosses more mobile. Bungie just needs to add more rolls to both snipers and make them more useful for general play. As for queens breaker, they just need to replace the swappable perks with non pvp perks like vorpal, chain reaction, triple tap, ect.. For all 3 they need to buff ammo drop chances.

We already had one complete cancer exotic LFR meta, I'd rather not have another, thanks.
-
Whisper and Darci should stay heavy. I much prefer diversity of weapon types in the slot. I'd rather both just be buffed to a point where they are actually good. Queen breaker should definitely be special though. I'm in agreement there, though blind would likely need to be taken away.

Whisper is Fine

That thing is a PvP monster (Queensbreaker) please return it to its home. UR and NLB need to comeback too loved UR sights. Whisper and Darci can stay as heavy but need a major utility or damage buff. Darci could have a major crit buff that could possibly get even stronger if you’re amplified…Whisper could have scorch for every shot and ignition on every third shot. Something because those weapons are definitely heavy worthy but need a good buff. Also I do miss Dregs Promise!

Edited by Olórin: 5/17/2023 9:54:17 PMI would probably main Queenbreaker if it were a Special. As a Heavy I just cant see why I would want to use it in PvP or PvE since I could get more done with Gjallarhorn as an all purpose Heavy Exotic for casual play and for DMG i would choose Sleeper or a GRoll Legendary LFR instead.
-
Whisper is still doing fine in it’s place as a high total damage weapon. Darci and Queenbreaker though are straight trash.
-
No, Queensbreaker should be left where is, and damaged buffed to exceed legendary lfrs
