Since, the team is giving some love to underused exotics I figured its the time to ask about Apotheosis Veil. Yes Apotheosis Veil. This warlock helmet really shows its age, with its perk granting (Allies within 24 meters receive 25% Additional Base Class Ability Regeneration Rate. On Super Ability Activation: Fully restores Health, Grenade, Melee, and Class Ability Energy) according to light.gg. Yeah, this exotic exists in a world where you can constantly cycle abilities on just about every subclass in the game. If you build fully into intellect on a super like Well of Radiance you can take advantage of this exotic once every couple of minutes. With ability synergy being the name of the game, its impossible to justify using Apotheosis Veil when more frequent ability uptime can be achieved by simply slotting armor mods.
Please if anyone has some rework ideas put em in the comments, hopefully someone will see

Make it into something like Star-Eater Scales. For example, picking up Orbs when your Super is full grants stacks of a buff; casting your Super consumes all stacks and grants a bonus to matching-element weapon damage and ability regen, with its strength and duration dependent on the number of stacks. Give big bonuses and make it beneficial for the solo, or have them be moderate but affect nearby allies. Keep the heal on Super cast, remove the bonus regen for nearby allies' class abilities because it's meaningless and no one has ever noticed it, if by chance they ever saw someone use this helmet. And for the love of God, give it an ornament.

Apotheosis Veil- Give me Two Arc Buddies, Two Void Buddies, Extended Freeze Rift Range, Shortens Cooldown even further for Phoenix Dive, Threadlings are tankier or Travel Further (like colony). Kills/Assists with abilities give improved class ability regeneration. Activating Super with Full class abilities (grenade, melee, class) expends it increasing super damage by percent with which abilities that got expended (similar to surge mods percent method), if class abilities were uncharged it gives full energy to those abilities but doesn’t expend it for damage. Abilities that have double or triple charges aren’t additive.

I actually was thinking about this a few hours ago. So keep the already present exotic benefits, but add these things: Using an ability grants energy for the other two abilities,m. If one is full, the other gets twice the energy. If they are both full, you get super energy. Damaging an enemy with an ability grants super energy. Hitting targets while inside your rifts or healing yourself or an ally with a healing grenade also procs this.

Complete rework Make the exotic boost super damage for non roaming supers (Nova bomb variants, choas reach, and the new strand super) while abilities are fully charged, the damage increase for each ability you have charged up to x3. Active: After super activation gain a boost to ability regen based on enemies damaged. Bosses, champions, and guardians count as more than one enemy. Passive: reduce base cooldown on all instant cast damage abilities (scatter grenade, magnetic grenade, suppressor grenade, axion bolt grenade, flux nade, blinding grenade, fusion nade, swarm nade (and whatever else I'm forgetting). Excludes damage over time melees (ball lightning). This would shift the flexibility of the exotic into burst damage, warlocks mainly use DoT abilities in pve so this will be a good change.

It would need a re work rather than a buff. Popping a super for abilities is useless.

They could add the ability to burn your super to self rez to this helmet and make it cut your respawn timer in PvE in half.

Instead of class ability energy, I want everyone to have full ability refund like me and we all get a 10% weapon damage boost for for like 10 seconds.

Edited by Seki: 5/11/2023 10:56:47 AMThe only thing I can see in its current state is for a damage phase either with a demo-heavy or thread of ascent on strand. That way you can have 2 free reloads within a damage phase (through grenade throws). Other than that, it doesn't fit the times anymore.

I think Bungie could easily turn it into a warlock version of Heart of Inmost Light since it would play into the ability regen part of its perk.
