It's largely considered the worst COD of all time, but I thought it had a neat premise, the U.S gets knocked down by an unforseen foe , and it's seen through the eyes of special forces operatives , being hunted by one of there own who was left behind and brainwashed by the enemy
COD:Vanguard and Infinite Warfare alot worse imo

Why do people hate on infinite warfare? Personally I really liked its pvp.

Vanguard was fire but infinite warfare was awful

Other side-mode extinction was underrated. It was my favourite

Honestly, from personal experience, it was lack of Zombies. Me personally, by that point I thought zombie based games and shows were really played out and actually enjoyed Extinction. However, the vast majority of my friends group were the kind that never played the campaign anyway. They only ever played PvP and zombies. Since there were no zombies, they hated it more than the others since it was just a PvP game to them at that point.

Travis Scott was largely involved in it's downfall
