EDIT - FINAL UPDATE:
Fixed. I simply deleted the "DestinyPC" Folder in "appdata>roaming>bungie" to completely reset the game cache and it now works. So something was clearly conflicting in the config and causing my CPU to go haywire.
Anyone else experiencing immediate crashing or freezing, try deleting that entire folder but BE WARNED all your settings will be reset as it rebuilds the cache and perf files.

ISSUE: Not sure how or why but today Destiny 2 would not let me reach the character select screen. It reaches past the "Animated Class Icons" splash screen, goes to to transition to the character select screen, freezes and hangs.
Reinstalled the game, moved the game to another drive, DDU'd GPU drivers, used old and new GPU drivers.
Managed to pull all game settings to the lowest possible through GeForce Experience and even tried 1280x720 windowed, to no avail.
REPRO STEPS:
1) Open Game
2) Wait
3) Application Hangs
ACTUAL RESULT: Crashes to Desktop.
EXPECTED RESULT: The game to not crash or hang.

UPDATE: Yes I understand the servers are currently down, but when accessing the game at this point and being told "Servers are not available", the game is perfectly fine and interactable, I can click dismiss, I can keep loading to that screen. It's only when the game (when the servers were up) tried to pull my account info that it crashed my client every single time. Almost as if trying to get my account details and load my characters is forcing an application hang and freezing me.
