Hey, so.
Apparently a lot of people didn't know this, but since finishers were added to the game, they counted as ability kills.
generic finishers counted for whichever subclass you were playing, but finishers that were distinctly tied to a subclass, gave you ability kills for that subclass.
This has been incredibly useful to myself, my clan and my friends. Everyone has that one subclass they hate playing.
For me, it's solar. So when i need to get solar ability kills, I would swap to my favourite Solar finisher (Swing of the Scythe) and use that until I had the number of kills needed racked up.
It's been great.
Until this season. Now not only do the energy-aligned kills not count for different subclass ability kills (which i would hate, but accept with little more than a grumble), but no finishers are counting for ability kills at all.
Haven't seen a single patch note or update mention finishers at all, let alone disabling what seems to have been a core component of them (else why have finishers that remain 'subclass aligned'?)
Anyone know what gives?
