I've been messing with my keybinds trying to find a good layout to use Icarus Dash and Phoenix Dive simultaneously, and I've found a frustrating issue. There is a controller keybind option for "Air Dive Ability" that I thought would activate Phoenix Dive since it's an air dive ability. However, Phoenix Dive is instead activated by the "Warlock Rift Ability" keybind.
I found this odd since I use single-press circle to activate my rift on the ground, and the same single-press circle to activate Icarus Dash while airborne. With this configuration, there's no possible way to activate Phoenix Dive before Icarus Dash, unless Icarus Dash is on cooldown. I also tested setting the "Rift" keybind to double-press and long-press circle to no avail. Icarus Dash will always come out first, no matter what.
I switched to Hunter to test out this keybind and found some more frustrating results. It seems the "Air Dive Ability" keybind only works on Hunter. I was using Stasis and Shatterdive, and I thought that made sense at first since Shatterdive doesn't tie to a specific ability being on cool down. However, the Void Quickfall ability and (more annoyingly) the Strand Ensnaring Slam ability both activate using the "Air Dive Ability" keybind and are tied to Melee and Class Ability cooldowns respectively. Why don't Ensnaring Slam and Pheonix Dive activate with the same keybind? They're both only usable in air, they dive to the ground, and use your class ability energy.
Can we please make Phoenix Dive activate with the "Air Dive Ability" keybind rather than the "Warlock Rift Ability" keybind? It is an air dive ability after all. Using it in tandem with Icarus Dash is very frustrating unless I change my Rift keybind every time I use this specific build. Surely I'm not the only one that's struggling with this. Thanks!
