Version: Steam/Destiny 2 lightfall+
Game mode: Nightfall: hero, Lake of shadows
Issue: If a fireteam wipes during the final phase of the boss fight at the end of the lake of shadows strike, some champions can respawn earlier in the strike.
How to trigger this issue: Get the boss to the last 3rd of its health, you will know when he spawns goblins and thralls instead of knights and psions. Wipe the fireteam. When you respawn, you will see on the screen, "A champion has spawned".
What this issue causes: Loss of plat rewards, reduction to silver rewards level
I don't know where they came back, but my fireteam cleared every champion in the strike as they were placed to impede progress , we wiped at the final boss during the last part of the fight and upon respawning, I noticed the text bug ignored it, thinking it meant champions in the final fight were going to spawn.
When we finished it, we got Silver as out reward instead of the intended plat.
THIS CAN BE A GRAVE ERROR IF CHAMPS RESPAWN DURING THE FINAL FIGHT WHEN GRANDMASTERS START IN 5 DAYS
I do not have a screenshot as I didn't believe there was an issue and by the time i did notice, we were in orbit and on the commendation screen
Attempting to recreate this personally will be difficult as
A: I don't have a fireteam willing to run such nightfall
and B: doing so with Randoms is out of the questions as without proper communication to inform them of the replication, reports of griefing and other reports would pile up
