Chaos accelerant is absolute dumpster trash so I’d be in favor of deleting it to get grenade consumption back.

In my opinion either devour needs a way to stand apart from literally being a fragment so it's at least somewhat unique to warlock, or devour needs do be removed from fragment slot.

People would disagree but if it comes back it should be with a different grenade let’s say a Spike Grenade and upon consuming it you get Healthback and either a weapon buff to void weapons or a player buff. Weapon buff example would be Volatile Rounds, Dmg, or Kills make Void Breeches that dmg surrounding areas, transmute orbs. Player Buff example Overshield, Invisibility, Melee Dmg, Extra Resil Armor. That way it still works as if you are overcharging the grenade for the Original version with Void Devour but now it actually has a reason to exist other than it’s something to be consumed. Imo I don’t care if it does make a comeback anymore I just think all aspects should have a default two fragments.

Chaos accelerant is a terrible aspect. A grenade modifier that takes time to charge AND has only one fragment!? All the other classes with grenade aspects don't charge and get 2 fragments! Wtf is up with that?

There's an exotic for that with empower rifts. It actually works wonders . Try building the Void Nuke Contraverse hold build. But use those boots... It's actually really good build.

They did it so Chaos Accelerant and Feed the Void could coexist, otherwise it’s impossible for them to design both to work together. Chaos Accelerant would never work if you could eat your grenade, Feed the Void wouldn’t work if you always held your grenade to overcharge it. Chaos Accelerant is a terrible aspect anyway. I never found any value in it because you have to hold the grenade to gain the effect. It should just passively apply the effects and give us an extra grenade. That would be worth it.

I personally don’t feel it’s that needed since it’s pretty easy to get a grenade kill on a little red bar enemy to proc it. That way you also get volatile rounds. Higher difficulty content makes it harder to proc devour since ads are tankier, but scatter grenades still don’t usually have a problem killing rank and file enemies even at those difficulties (scatter grenades are my go-to since they lowered its cooldown and extended vortex grenade cooldown

Meh. I played with Voidlock yesterday. Completed the TWQ Campaign at Legend and almost finished the Lightfall campaign again at Legend. I was procking Devour just fine without need to absorb my nade, to be honest. Sure, it depends by the Build, but generically speaking I was absolutely fine.

Not going to lie, I love eating the grenade and activating devour and just rush with a fusion it was op suck they took it away

It’s weird how all the other warlock subclasses (excepts stasis) have an option to eat their grenade, and yet they decided to take that away from the subclass that had it first

The ability should never have been removed. Stripping any class of their abilities shouldn't have ever been an option that Bungie even considered, especially if said abilities were going to be shared anyway. No class feels fun when their kit is stripped apart for no reason.

(Just like void titans get to activate over shields with their class ability and hunters activating invis on dodge) (For anyone about to mention secant filaments don't bother, they are a wasted exotic slot and forced usage of a weaker rift just to be able to do what the other void classes can in activating their subclass verb perks on class ability activation) Also no devour isn't too powerful to be able to be activated at will because there's so many one shots in the game and fast ttks it's not oppressive at all. Also devour doesn't give you the edge at the start of an engagement like over shields or invis does. It only helps you after the engagement if you win. (Sorry, just being pre-emptive for all the dumb "counter" arguments that usually come to a smart request like this)

Yeah, it should be something unique to Warlocks, the same way Warlocks should be able to use both regular Solar grenade and Healing grenade at the same time. Meanwhile, I think Bungie need to buff melee in Titans instead of constantly nerfing it and make it easier for Hunters to get their 100 Mobility builds.

Yep. Remove charging from chaos accelerant, give it two aspect slots. Replace the convert magnetic to HHSN into "unlocks the HHSN grenade while equipped" Then add "consume grenade to activate devour" to feed the void.

They could easy create a new void grenade and have it become devourable.

Exactly. Devour is so easy to get now anyway it isn’t like it’s a huge buff to it’s efficacy (maybe a decent buff in PvP but void warlock isn’t exactly revolutionary there anyway). Get rid of charging nades for Chaos Accelerant and make it give two fragment slots (for parity with other grenade buffing aspects). Then give Feed the Void the ability to consume the grenade for a slightly shorter duration Devour.
