What is the strongest trace rifle?
Excluding Divinity, what trace rifle would be the strongest single-target, DPSwise.

3 RepliesFor legendary traces probably the one from root. Target lock + rewind rounds is insane. But for exotics definitely agers, if you have consistent orb pickups waves plotter would be behind agers then coldheart.

Agers is overall the strongest but it REALLY shines on a Stasis subclass Wavesplitter would be next due to how easy it is to create orbs now and the current season mods. The best legendary Trace is the one from the new raid, Target Lock + Rewind or Reconstruction is great

2 RepliesEdited by Relentless: 3/27/2023 9:57:51 AMcheck my trace rifle on my hunter. it has target lock with almost maxed out range and stability. it’s the new raid trace. definitely god tier in pvp and pve for boss damage. with reconstruction i can have 208 rounds to the mag as well. the only trace that feels like an actual laser lol. supposedly in order to ramp up target lock to the full 40% damage increase you need 105% of your base mag to be used. reconstruction helps with this predicament.

Probably agers or maybe (If you can get enough orbs consistently) wavesplitter. Think the new legendary raid trace rifle can get target lock and reconstruction which would probably be pretty beastly as well.

1 ReplyIt's Agers... nothing else can compete, maybe Wavesplitter, but it would require help, you'd need enough orbs to keep its perk going, but even then, I doubt it. Ager's by itself is great but it synergizes with stasis fragments that can further increase its dps output.

Sustained fire in this mode suppresses targets.' My choice with the current void/volatility/orb popping/health mods being favored this season

Agers Scepter is the best Single target. (With catalyst) and arguably the best add clear. ColdHeart is a good single target with added ability regen. Quite fun in PvP aswell. WaveSplitter is good single target with a lot of void synergy. Volatile rounds and suppression on one weapon is very nice. Ruinous Effigy is quite slept on. Insane ammo economy, great single target sustain and burst. Also has CC with block and built in healing. Very good and under appreciated. Prometheus lens is strictly add clear(struggles with high health targets) but when paired with a Solar subclass, and ability combos, can clear a entire room with ignitions everywhere. Quite fun. Divinity is…well divinity. Big bulging crit spot applicator.
