So I’ve been messing around with sunbracers and I’ve noticed they only proct about 50% of the time when I get the kill with celestial fire. I don’t think it’s celestial fire because it doesn’t seem to work when I’m not in firesprite cool down as it will not trigger at the start of the encounter and typically “sunbracers ready” seems to be absent from the hud as well (but could be because firesprite cooldown is pushing it out of the hud)

Pasting the same reply I made to someone else a week or two ago: This is an issue related to the Celestial Fire melee. Tick damage from scorch/ignition isn't being counted as a melee kill when using CF, but it [i]does[/i] count if you're using Incinerator Snap instead. I too originally noticed this because I use Sunbracers, but it turns out that this applies to pretty much any other perk/mod that requires a melee kill, such as Melee Wellmaker, Felwinter's Helm, Necrotic Grip, Winter's Guile, Momentum Transfer, Karnstein Armlets, and Swashbuckler. It's been like this for 8 months; i.e. since Solar 3.0 was released. A bunch of people [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/262395617]including myself[/url] have posted about it but it hasn't been addressed. It's really infuriating.
