The Time Warp of Doctor Brain.
Came out in 1996- was a game that I was obsessed with at 7 years old. It essentially was a series of puzzle games with adjustable difficulties, and it was educational too!
Well sort of...
It was a bunch of brain games and they tested spatial reasoning and reaction time. One game was called Primordial soup and it had you control these little amoebae that had to eat food and kill and eat the other species of amoebae and be the dominant amoebae.
Another one had you organizing traffic in a future city.
Another one had you teach cavemen to play music.
My nostalgia was so strong that I remembered GHOST WRITER! The TV series about a weird ghost in a computer that could read anything the main kids typed into a computer, the villain was a hacker named "Max Mouse" who did things like email everyone in the school that the principal was dead in the first episode.
Aaah ... old things... :)

Sadly, I'm old enough to have played both Dr. Brain's Castle and Island titles! Fortunately, I'm still able to remember! The heydey of Sierra Online really was a special time in computer gaming. If you can find it (be surprised if it's not abandonware), I highly recommend Jones in the Fast Lane and the Quest For Glory games.
