I went to craft a Fire and Forget Linear Fusion Rifle with the following traits: Chambered Compensator, Enhanced Battery, Headstone, and Chill Clip. I chose the Veist Stinger origin trait and equipped a Counterbalance Stock in the inventory screen. For this report, Enhanced Battery will be referred to as "EB" and Ionized Battery as "IB."
When I crafted the weapon, instead of EB increasing the magazine size by 1 in order to have a 6-round magazine, it instead increased it by 0, leaving it a 5-round mag. Crafting again with an IB trait fixes the issue, but decreases my reload speed while applying the same +1 effect EB should, but decreased my reload speed as a result. I tried recrafting several times to see if this was a one-off bug fixed by moving traits or weapon mods, but it happened several times and nothing changed.
Additionally, while you are crafting, choosing any non-EB or IB trait will show an arrow indicating a battery increase when hovering over the two battery-increasing perks, but only applies when IB is chosen. Oddly, choosing IB trait and hovering over the EB indicates no change to battery size, but it still decreases from a 6 to 5-round magazine.
It is a small bug, but the six-round magazine gives an extra activation of Chill Clip, and therefore does alter gameplay, albiet ever so slightly.
I also hate to sound picky, but IB claims to "greatly" increase magazine size, when it only does so by one point, which is no different than the EB trait, except you get no reload penalty by using the latter. If it increases it by +2, but had the reload penalty, it would live up to its description. Otherwise, it may need to be reworded slightly.
