Combo-Master Ability: Unique and Personalized Attack Combinations in Destiny 2
A custom combo ability would blow new wind into the Crucible and could prove to be an innovative addition to the existing abilities in Destiny 2. Imagine being able to create a unique combination of attacks that surprises and confuses your opponents. With such an ability, you could showcase your artistic innovation and demand true skill from your opponents. Here's a suggestion for what such an ability could look like: the Combo-Master Ability.
Name: "Combo-Master"
Description: Activates a custom combo consisting of a series of unique attacks chosen by the user. The combo consists of three phases executed in quick succession.
Phase 1: Confusion - The user causes a quick explosion that disorients enemies within a 10-meter radius for 2 seconds.
Phase 2: Execution - The user performs a combination of two mini-attacks followed by a finishing move. The user selects the mini-attacks and finishing move from a list of available options. The selected combination is not displayed during the phase to confuse and surprise enemies.
Phase 3: Incognito - The user becomes invisible for 5 seconds and can make a getaway.
Strafe I: Activating the Combo-Master Ability consumes a portion of the user's super energy, similar to other super abilities.
Strafe II: Activating the Combo-Master Ability not only consumes a portion of the user's super energy, but also weakens the Guardian who executes it. After activating the ability, the user suffers a damage multiplier of 1.25x for the next 10 seconds. During this time, the user cannot activate any other abilities or use grenades. This penalty ensures that the Custom-Combo Ability is not used lightly or as a replacement for other abilities, but as a strategic addition in combat.
With the Combo-Master Ability, the user can create a unique combination of attacks that surprises and confuses their opponents. Since the selected combination is not displayed during the execution phase, opponents must make quick decisions and react on their instincts. With the invisibility in the finishing phase, the user can escape or continue their attacks as needed.
This custom combo ability would give players more flexibility and creative options to showcase their skills in combat while also having an appropriate penalty for its use.
