90% of the shaders are trash, you cannot sort them, you can not mark favourites, the preview in most cases has nothing to do with what the shaders really looks like and it does really weird things sometimes on some ornaments.
Just remove the shaders completely and implement 4 color bars on the loadout-screen, so that a player can just shade his character individually. this color bar should include black of course!
Additionally, you could add some "perks" to give effects like gloss or different patterns.
imho, that would be a great QoL update and would spare us searching around in dozents of shader-screen, just to find out that every single shader does somehow look weird and is never really perfect.

Yeah really. Whoever is creating those palettes... I just don't understand how they can accept displaying all of the wrong sh*t. There is no formula to it. They just kind of randomly place colors and textures together in 4 triangles and call it good without much thought. If they were actually thinking, we'd have accurate displays. The effects are super cool. I love the kind of holographic layers on some, or color changing on others. There's alot of really cool stuff in there that would be way better off if they just gave us a color wheel. They could easily do that, then have patterns and textures drop randomly with loot stuff through everything. In our shader screen we could then choose primary, secondary, tertiary, accent colors/patterns/textures. Like maybe we just have a 4 section box like we already have for each shader, but just one on each piece, then go clockwise starting at the top we select each section to color. They should be self explanatory in where they apply on everything. They could still make money selling patterns, because let's face it, unless they can monetize it somehow it won't get implemented, because greed, but then why not create specific patterns and textures that are only rewarded and earned in specialized activities, like Trials, GMs, master level activities, and raids? Instead of gatekeeping functional stuff for higher tier activities, because NOTHING that has function in a game with PvP, should EVER be kept behind activities that require assembled teams or solo activities. All functional things should be able to be unlocked through all basic accessible activities with varying rarity in drop rates. Patterns and textures however, as they are just cosmetic are fine to do whatever with. Been wanting this since, well, d*mn near the beginning of Destiny when I realized they apparently didn't know what colors are what in shaders. It takes a special kind of dumb carelessness and laziness to not make sure color palettes are accurately depicted. If technical capabilities are the excuse, well that's just a lie😂.
