But in the entire article I saw absolutely nothing mentioned about rewards. Why on earth would I ever play activities for the same awful drop rates but now it's just 3x harder...Nightfall weapon drop rates are already abysmally low. I've run Nightfalls over 25 times with no weapon drops. That is NOT ok.

Poorly worded on Bungo's part. "rewarding" did not mean "more rewards" and they should've known that's how it would be taken. They meant it needed to feel like more of an accomplishment for beating, which difficulty will help with. But yeah they worded it terrible and shot themselves in the foot in doing so.

It was literally the PROOF that Bungie is incapable of listening to feedback. They hear us saying that the drop rates are horrible, don't reward our time and therefore are a waste of time. Bungie hears that and thinks we want more difficulty, therefore longer activities, same garbage rewards. LOL. Bungie hears streamers whispering in the background "we need more difficulty to keep us entertained in our daily 12 hours livestreams". Thats the truth about these garbage changes. You can't make this up. Bungie is so garbage these days.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Reasons like this is why i won't pre-order or get new expansion unless they really hit it out of the ballpark. I'll wait. I've been through this Dance before but it seems worse every expansion.

Game Sucks.

Thats the problem. You only rsn over 25 times. "You need to do at least 100 runs before you starts seeing any return for your time invested" -Bungie probably.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/22/2023 4:37:19 PMIt’s like they thought people meant rewarding as in gameplay and not rewarding as in the actual rewards we get. The game was incredibly rewarding because of crafting(except for dungeons) and now it’s going to become less rewarding AND get harder? Get rid of match game, add new modifiers that dictate loadouts. And to every activity?! What? I legitimately don’t understand what they’re thinking.

From the game director...
While we still have a lot of reward tweaks planned throughout this whole year, when we ask Guardians to play Vanguard Ops for pinnacles or weekly challenges next season, we want to make sure that content has kept up with the player power increases over the years.
Basically, they'll be changing some rewards throughout the year. They've graduated from drip feeding story content, to drip feeding QoL updates. Much like how the new comp system was released without rewards, or AE was released without anything you could really do you build into it, it'll be changed later, wink wink!
-
Well rewards don’t really matter to anyone anymore since crafted weapons are a thing now.
-
Why do PvP mains have to sweat in the crucible if we don’t get awarded anything extra? Nah, y’all can take the extra difficulty with a side of salt!

Edited by Gibbon, the Ape Defector: 2/22/2023 2:24:28 PMRegarding the lost sector section of the article, their address of the issue there is to add a positive power delta. So while it will have champs, lost sectors are forcefully being made more casual-friendly, or rather less butt-clench friendly if you will. So based on inference, their angle is to make them easier so they are faster to complete. Regarding everything else: We are in desperate need of a nerf. Think about it this way: In order for the latest dungeon to be on par with guardian power these days, they needed to dump boatloads of the #1most annoying troop in the entire game on our heads. (Supplicants) Second of all, GM is easy. There was a time when all GM's gave you the impression that they were impossible. But now even the toughest GM's can be consistently completed by a 70th percentile frequenter of GM's in 40 minutes. When Proving Grounds first came out, genuinely mega-dirty super comps were necessary to stay alive. But these days, Ursa is long forgotten because we haven't had serious danger in a very long time.

Bungie are conflating difficulty/challenge and rewards. Maybe one day the they’ll realise that they’re separate but I wouldn’t bet on it.
