It feels so good to see a little continued progress towards our desired rolls with each red border that drops. Great balance. RNG, but with a foreseeable end based on investing time to get to it. By earning it. It gives players a measure of control over alleviating the bad side of RNG. Between acquiring the ability to craft it and then leveling it up I play more because of it.
Sure, it feels great to randomly get that roll you want….early after it’s available. If it goes on for too long without seeing it though, that doesn’t feel good. There is no joy in that. Being helpless to improve your chances to get your desired roll doesn’t feel good.
Does anyone actually like being helpless like that?
Crafting caused me to play more because now I can engage with the game using the things I wanted to use. I can use my desired tools to help other players get what they’re chasing. Please don’t neuter our ability to do this. The less accessible things are, the more it hinders buildcrafting. We need MORE crafting, not less.
The dungeon weapon chase is already incredibly awful. Please tell me this will not be extended to raids moving forward.
I urge everyone that doesn’t like this upcoming change to be very vocal about it. This is not a good change.

Not having crafting to give us a reason to play is definitely a downside to reducing the number of craftable weapons. Especially for people that don't play endgame content as often. I guess we'll see if some of the other changes that were mentioned are enough to make up for the reduction. I can totally understand why they'd want to have less weapons available for crafting but that did give me something to do during the quieter portions of the seasons last year.
