Can we please change our guardian's appearance already?
I'm so tired of being stuck with the same face I made almost a decade ago. Like I don't care if I have to pay bright dust or silver for a character appearance change, but please please please let us change our body type/gender and facial features.

All of the face and hair models look flat out ugly anyway, and they just are not implementing a purely cosmetic change this close to the end. Like if you could choose not to wear your helmet and stuff that would be cool and all but they're not going to let you do that either. There is a reason they gave you an optin to wear your helmet in social spaces, to put a paper bag over a problem they don't intend to fix.

People have been asking since D1. If I recall correctly, I don’t think they’ve ever once said anything about this. I could be wrong though. They don’t even acknowledge the request. If there is some technical hurdle that don’t feel is worth dealing with I wish they’d just tell us that. It seems weird that they seem to have just ignored this talking point for like 6 years straight.

It has been a long time since I seen my own face. Different ornaments, yes. Like the new hat from spire. Helmet always on. No more face.

If bungie cant think of a lore fitting reason why you would change your apperance, well, they just gave it to us. Surely using strand, bending the matter of theuniverse to my will i can manage to repaint my exos face.

Yes please! There is a huge portion of players that want this and have been asking for it for a long time. And I bet the vast majority of “helmet on” players will also use this feature.

1 ReplyI don’t want to give them any bad ideas, but it seems like a no brainer to allow one appearance change per even just expansion year, and then sell additional changes in Eververse.

16 RepliesAsking Bungie to revamp appearances when the only time you will ever potentially see a character's face is in the Tower would be one of the biggest waste of resources. Thankfully, Bungie typically doesn't listen to topics like this.

IMAGINE PEOPLE GATEKEEPING THE APPEARANCE SCREEN!! 😂 It doesn’t matter if 10,000 people use it or 100 people using it. If the ability to customize a characters face is there then whether you pay for it or not the option to revisit customization should be there. If the ability to transmog armor is a currency you can grind for or buy then the same could be done for your face honestly a profit could be made by adding more facial features and customizable options. Don’t talk about whether it’s canonical or not because remember sunsetting was a thing and all that was canon.

Been saying it for years. Other games already do it for free/at a not bad price. Like Monster Hunter. They always give you a freebie, and it's a couple of bucks after that. I think it was $1.50 for me to do it in Sea of Thieves. I just don't wanna redo the entire campaign for all my super stuff.

Not even sure what status they are any more! It was a nice feature at the start of the game, but when was the last time you removed the helmet armour to view your character in the Tower? Don’t think I ever have since I created the characters.

Yeah, that’s important, if they just added the ability to change my characters (who wears a full face-covering helmet almost all of the time) face i would change my mind about canceling my ore-order.🤔

20 RepliesThe most ridiculous part about it is that character customization is already in the game. You just can’t access it after you confirm your initial look. The fact we STILL can’t change appearance is pure laziness on Bungo’s part. That or they’re still trying to figure out how much they wanna charge you for a basic feature
