Something I would like to see is a standalone program that allows players to make their own pvp maps. On which we first only can run in private matches.
There could then be an associated page where you can vote on the maps, which then have the opportunity to be included in quickplay, comp or Trails?

This is bungie. That's too much work, even though it wasn't for the real bungie 10 years ago.

Edited by BOSSNONO254: 2/3/2023 10:31:13 PMSo forge essentially? In that case Bungie is too deep into the thick of Destiny 2. Not to mention it’s conclusion is less than two years from now. Maybe back when destiny was still in its early development, it could’ve had a map creation mode. But sadly it’s too late.

I look forward to the day something like DALL-E exists for video games. If you’re not familiar, DALL-E is a deep learning model that can produce images and artwork based on user prompt. Zero doubt this will make its way to video games eventually, where you load into a game while an AI model creates a map on the fly. Every crucible game would be on a map nobody’s ever played. There could also be post-game voting added in, where players can give a 1-10 star rating for the map they just played. Highly rated maps get re-issued to subsequent groups and if enough people love a particular design, it gets added to a stock of “Fan Favorites” or whatever. Probably several years away, but I’m pretty confident video games will eventually get there. I like your idea. Not sure Bungie will have any interest or the resources to do it, but it’d be cool. Cheers! 👍
