Ive been testing with a good amount of high stability weapon rolls to see if they could counter the awful excessive flinch in game currently.
What I found out is that stability is almost useless in some weapons.
Archetypes like handcannons need a bit of an increase to battle high fire rate, high caliber weapons, if one decides to trade ofd range for stability. A 91 stability Austringer still couldnt really do much against ARs, Pulses and DMTs flinching every shot.
Slugs have it the worst though, I have a 90 stability Inquisitor, I tried it out and guess what, that stat is useless on all weapons of said archetype. Bungie needs to look into this, if you wont change the map rotation, at least make specing into stuff beyond range viable.
I still dont understand how pallet shotgun get overbuffed and slugs continue getting smacked left, right and center.

Handcannons receive the lowest benefit from stability flinch resistance of all the primaries where as auto rifles receive the most. Trust me, auto rifles absolutely deserve it the most but hitting the maximum is next to impossible while it does next to nothing to help. They NEED to do something about flinch more intrinsically.
