Before you say it, yes I get it that the general way of getting points is holding zones over time. But that's the simplified answer. How exactly are points awarded? I looked on Reddit and on Bungie.net and I couldn't find documentation on exactly how scoring works.
How many points per zone? Is there a bonus for more zones? How many points per minute? Is it duration of zones held or is it at certain clock boundaries? I know you get 1 point for capturing a zone. Are there any other point sources other than capturing and holding zones? What triggers the drop pod, is it just time or is there any other trigger? How are points determined when holding the central zone? Etc etc

Hey, There's a brief overview of how standard Zone Control works in the following TWAB, I don't believe Bungie has issued a similar description for Iron Banner Fortress: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/51361 Essentially, your team gets a flat 2 points every 15 seconds per zone you control. There are no bonus points for controlling more zones. In the Iron Banner variation, the drop pods appear the first time a team hits 40 and 80 points. Standard Zone Control does have a mercy rule that calls the game when a team cannot win even if they control all 3 zones for the rest of the game, but I'm not sure if this is active in the IB version.
