Fortress should be called Bubble-Mania...
reading the TWAB a few weeks ago, I really thought, that PvE combatants of any kind will spawn every time you capture a zone, helping to defend it and getting stronger the longer you hold it. that would have been really cool and would earn the name "Fortress".
This mode now is just an ordinary control, being messed up by this everybody-spams-super-massacre two times a match, which is always dominated by the team having the most Bubble-Titans...
imho, Bungie again had the chance of delivering something really enjoyable but again decided just to slightly modify something old and call it new content....

Watched an Arc strider rip right through 5 of us yesterday. Glad no one else has figured that out yet.

I've never seen a Destiny idea that's more creative in all the worst ways. Like, I thought the worst of their brain children was Gambit, but they really did go and create something much worse. I applaud them for it. It takes an overwhelming lack of care to create something so gloriously and obnoxiously bad. All so that we'll grind the cosmetics. Most of all, this Iron Blowout Bubble Banner has made me REAL curious about the way they pitch and sign off on ideas. Corporate America really is going down the shitter.

There should be a total scorpion turret takeover of each side of the map and the middle. Fight your way to the zone. This should of been a king of the hill type game mode. This should of had voice lines if you stray to far from the obj.

Fr. More obvious incompetence from bungle. They have no concept of fun, fairness, balance, rewards, anything really. Only good thing on this game is character movement, and they got that from og bungie. This company is 100% unburdened by intelligence.

1 ReplyJust an FYI, stasis crystals from any super will go through the bubble. You don't really take any damage from inside an opponent's bubble, so any roaming super can enter and kill, a nova bomb will pop it and usually kill whoever is inside, so will thundercrash, and yadda yadda yadda. So maybe save your supers to counter the bubble and not use it to kill one opponent. Bonus FYI, casting a bubble inside an opponent's bubble creates an infinitely invincible punching match that gets really interesting when one of them ends....

8 RepliesNova Bomb. Use your supers to destroy the bubbles, that's part of why we have them. They're abilities meant to be used for moments just like that. To see everyone so upset just seems like nobody actually understands this, or I'm missing something. Does everybody just use supers to use them or are they used strategically?

I think it's really funny seeing 4 Titan's group up all using their super at the same time then some Warlock comes up with a Nova Bomb and kills them all. I feel when the Cabal zone kicks in the mode gets so insane it's honestly fun but the rest of it just feels like standard Control.

8 RepliesFar as I'm concerned anti barrier or armor piercing weapons should penetrate through and this only makes it more clear. It's the only super in the game that requires you spend a super to counter it. The penetrating rounds can still do less damage or whatever but having a game mode that focuses on flag capture when there are characters who can spawn invulnerable shields is goofy.

13 RepliesYep love the one bubble then other team pops another bubble… Then few seconds later see barricades up inside bubbles . I just pick off stragglers as a hunter no way going near that mess

I use Stasis and it can be useful to break up the Bubble groups. Get a stasis grenade off inside or a slide melee freeze and it forces the enemy to work around the crystals.

Or you use thundercrash on the bubble and switch to void before the game ends

Bubble, schmabble. I actually like this IB. Specifically for bubbles. I save my Nova super for these moments when a few opponents congregate in a bubble on a high value zone, ane then - pop! So much fun!
