RUMBLE ISLE (PROPOSAL)
A competitive, solo PvPvE, subscription-only gaming experience that allows anyone to alternatively earn points towards the Competitive Divisions
A real rumble camp for survivors: We're talking about an arena mode made up of a PvE pre-rumble phase and a furious rumble-eruption-cauldron mix
PVE AND COMP?
Rift has actually made it into the skill-based competitive sector, and that would have been unthinkable before for a fun mode for casual gamers.
Wouldn't it be all the more refreshing if in the hustle and bustle PvE were offered for the purpose of competitive achievements?
UPON REGISTRATION ONLY
•There is a signup list which is a daily limit mechanic that protects comp points from being farmed (without them). Interested players sign up in the registration list on the comp screen. They will then receive a notification at certain time intervals (approx. every 2 hours) in which they will be given a free seat, which they can accept or refuse, similar to an invitation to a player.
REAL TIME EVENT
This notification would be deferred if you are currently in another activity. If someone accepts the notification, the matchmaking would start normally, as if you had started the comp mode.
PRERUMBLE PVE PHASE I – INTRO
It shouldn't be about the single players just killing adds in different ways. I'm imagining a kind of skill game in the form of a stealth mode, where it's all about charging up your Super as quickly as possible; However, not through kills but by making it onto enchanted plates, which then automatically charge my super. In order to make it varied and challenging, laser watchtowers would come into play (similar to the S19 intro mission), which cannot kill me but drain my super energy again, which means that it would then take longer to get to the Rumble Isle. Dodging the watchtower lasers should also get trickier over time
PRERUMBLE PVE PHASE II - SUPER BOOST
So the Super charges much faster there on the plates. And once it's loaded, I'm taken to the Rumble Isle, which features a spectacular free-for-all „Rumble like“ PvP arena
A PVP ARENA WITH 2 MOUNTAINS
A rumble isle about demonstrating time dominance by addressing a zone area. Anyone who spawns there can immediately use their Super to send enemies back into the PvE area
KING OF THE HILL
If a user dies while he or she is on the zone, 2 things happen:
•he or she returns to the PvE realm
•he or she also drops a bonus Time Crest. This includes a few seconds of zone time that the deceased user had previously accumulated through zone defending and which will now be deducted from him or her
ERUPTION OF THE CRESTS I - GREED CAN KILL
Bonus time is credited to those who pick up another Guardian's Crest first, but be careful, some of the fallen Crests are disguised explosive power-ups which - similar to Iron Banner mode - erupt immediately blast away the Guardians if they or he didn't get any kills within the bomb countdown
ERUPTION OF THE CRESTS II - ONLY THE ZONE IS SAFE
While corrupted with an explosive crest, not only do you have to get a quick kill, you'll also be weakened outside the zone area and even die if you don't get back to the zone in time
THE BARRIER WITH THE CANNON
If a player who was carrying the bomb could not make any kills, he or she should not return to the PvE area but get a timeout; For this he or she is locked in a transparent domed cage from where the happenings on the Rumble Isle can partly be watched passively, but the outcome can also be influenced by fate, as the domed cage grants access to a huge cannon barrel with which the Rumble Isle is fired can be
THERE ARE NO LOSERS - EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY
The player who managed to farm the most Rumble Isle time (through Zone Defending and Crests collection) or demonstrated undisputed time dominance of all players will win first prize. However, the mode is structured in such a way that everyone earns comp points and nobody goes away empty-handed. You just earn more of it the better you could do in the mode
