I cant speak for anyone other than myself. I really think Bungie needs to bring back Legacy content. For a company claiming to be an MMO its removed years of content that new players miss out on. And the legacy rotators aren't cutting it. Not only that but we paid for it. I'm not a developer so I can't give technical solutions. All I know is the little timeline may explain events but that pales in comparison of actually experiencing it. How are new players going to care about half the supporting cast when expansions that involve them are not playable? Just my opinion but the d2 campaigns, missions, adventures, and planets should be unsunset.

Can the game adequately run all of it's content?
-
Red war, curse of osiris, Warmind... and so on. Yes it all need to come back and they could even do it with increased difficulty and new rewards.
-
I have a PC with like 8TB of memory I would love to have a Destiny Complete edition that has both D1 and all the content it ever had and D2 with every piece of content it ever had but this game has far more glaring issues. This is just on my completely outlandish wish list that I know I will never see happen. But if everything was awesome and just peachy I would love all the content this franchise has offered in one place.

I would love to have everything back from the red war till the end of black armory. So much stuff I never finished. I miss the factions too.

Edited by Animal Mother: 12/6/2022 7:39:26 PMNo.1 reason I don’t push my stepson to play - he’s about to be 16, would probably be a beast, but I just can’t get myself to explain 8 years of lore to him. Some would say we should just play the game but has anyone tried to play D1 recently? Can’t even get into a crucible match.
-
Get ready for more to be removed. It’s only a matter of time before they announce what’s being taken out so the new DLC can be added.
-
95% of people didn’t care about the “supporting cast” anyways,
-
It is being restored. You're just paying for it again in reused ways.
-
I doubt it, those contents were made under Activision and they seem to adamant to remove anything under Activision, probably to avoid comparison on content before and after the split
-
Oh, don't worry... It'll be restored. Probably when they make the "Age of Triumph 2.0" that, to have access, you have to purchase the latest DLCs. Said DLCs will only be available to PC/PS5/SeriesX, since they'll need the extra hardware power to make the game not explode (since there's no way in hell that the game would work on older consoles with it's decrepit engine).
-
If anything, it should be available for download
-
I would probably never patrol Mercury, but the strikes would be cool to see again. They've been gone long enough. I'd patrol Titan though. Io? ehh maybe. Maybe we'll forget all about it when Lightfall drops. Who knows?
-
They should have just made beyond light Destiny 3. I love this game but the fact that I can't go back and play the story of the beginning of d2 is whack since i payed for it.
-
Bring it all back. Every bit of it. And I’m not gonna listen to some lame excuse about “Legacy Consoles.” Put all the cut content back in we paid for, not our fault you decided to not make Destiny 3, Bungie. Want my money.
-
Escalation Protocol was so fun.
-
They refuse to let go of old Gen They refuse to update their engine.
-
5 raids, multiple pvp and gambit maps and the old strikes with gms added would all go a long way to freshening up the game
-
I mean, I’m disappointed they removed the red war entirely as even with its flaws it had some good bits in it that new lights are missing out on. That first mission where you’re in the tower with Zavala and mixing fireteams was a nice inclusion. Don’t get me wrong though, I do like that they brought back the first D1 missions for new lights but just seems odd going from that to jumping into things like the forsaken story (when it was still up) so that you have this brand new guardian who story wise, did nothing in D1 suddenly getting upset that cayde (who we barely know) gets oofed. Would have been nice if we had the D1 opening and then like a flash forward showing the things our guardian had done up until they’re released into the D2 world.
-
As much as it should, the game is struggling to even work at this point in time. I believe it would fall off the rails completely and unravel if they considered it at this point.
-
I don't care for legacy content personally. I play MMOs, and generally those 'legacy content' stay dead space in MMOs outside of 'progression' for new players. That's fine, but the bigger issue is Bungie isn't creating ENOUGH content nor the depth/variety/spectrum for an MMO. I don't just mean 'MOAR CONTENT!' it also means making more content for the branching aspects of the game, and far more constantly. Meaning: More strikes More crucible maps/modes More gambit maps More dungeons More branches of progression More investment in end game More experimentation I am just stating that compared to MMOs, D2 is woefully behind in the amount of content and variety. It's clear Bungie should be investing into the D2 team and greatly expanding them, or bringing in other studios to help with expansion content (like most of the Major MMOs do).

Edited by NicheWhiz: 12/6/2022 5:32:04 AMWe have to be very specific guys, when we describe legacy content. They seem to rehash the same areas with a different paint. Typical bungo to give mars vaulted lost sector locations. and saying its a plunder mission
-
Edited by Jatmahl: 12/6/2022 4:45:58 AMNo... we don't need any of that stuff to clog up the game. Load times were -blam!- before. All for what? So you can relive doing old content most of the player base doesn't give two -blam!- about? How about fixing CORE playlist activities and seasonal content first.
-
Edited by Major-Payne: 12/6/2022 5:41:18 AMNope, we’re good. Sorry for people who missed content from six years ago. We played the -blam!- out of that -blam!- whether you did or not. People begging for all this old -blam!- to come back is exactly why Bungie feels so obliged to sell this -blam!- back in some form or another. Bungie needs to overhaul the core playlist and not waste time on old -blam!-.

To be fair the planets and what not are literally gone. The Witness kind of just took em
-
Limited license you signed it at the start of your Destiny career you can’t escape it
-
Just bring back pinnacles.
