It might sound silly but I think adventures were fun little side quests with a bit of story involved as well. It would be cool to see some new adventures on newer planets/patrol areas. Sure, they were basically just a high value target patrol with extra steps, BUT after completing them once, they could be made into end game content, like lost sectors. You could make legend adventures that you have to solo to drop exotics exclusive to them, just like legend lost sectors. Heck you could even make a seal that requires you to solo all legend lost sectors and legend adventures. AND you could guild it every season by acquiring the new exotic from a lost sector or adventure. As well as get champion kills, get completions, etc.

Don’t ask me why but I have a 12 ft pole that I have for work. I wouldnt even touch adventures with it.
-
Removed cos no one played them, numbers were shown, same thing will happen again with repeatable story missions, players only play 1 per week while they need a pinnacle or a shard and then stop
-
I already hate having to grind lost sectors for exotics. I really hope we don't get more boring pve content with exotics locked behind it.
-
I love this idea.
-
Yeah I liked the adventures and would like to see them back.
-
They should bring this back...hoping they would add this in Lightfall or sumthin. Like in Neomuna
-
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
-
may have been said already, but bring them back and with legend and master versions that have a chance to drop exotics like lost sectors. could also add secret missions in them like the outbreak and whisper ones.

Edited by HiddenAlignment: 11/7/2022 3:39:12 AMAgreed. One of the better things about D2 vanilla were the Adventures. Great opportunities for storytelling and character building and more entertaining scenarios than the usual “kill 100 cabal quests”, like the one where we pit Cabal and Fallen against each other or tested whether we could make artificial Guardians. I’d love to see some on Europa with Variks and Elsie or on the Throne World with Fynch. At the very least, they should bring some of the old ones back and make them relevant again.

Adventures. It would give the game more character.
-
Some were cool for sure. Like the friendly Harpy.
-
Adventures were cool, it was like a pseudo campaign mission for me, and I loved some of them for the environments alone.
-
Agreed. Needed a better concept around them to be replay able but otherwise I agree. Very fun lore snippets.

Fantastic for extra lore. And the Heroic versions could be challenging at times if the modifiers fell right. I liked the Nessus adventures the most. Getting to know Failsafe & the story of her crew was excellent. Io adventures were cool too. They gave locations more depth & history. As for Titan... Gone but not forgotten. My fave destination in D2. Only wish they had put more in it, enemy wise. I even had a lil farm down there. There was a spot where 5 Hive would respawn every 14-15 seconds if you stood in a certain spot. Great for bountys & weapon testing (I've found another that does the same thing 😉 but that's another story)

Edited by Ferus Lux: 11/7/2022 7:34:41 AMI like what they did with the Parasite Quest and how in one part it opened a secret passage in a lost sector and at the end, Mara actually shows up. Maybe adventures could be like these. We really do need more reasons to return to different parts of the game world and see things change there or witness new events.

Doing an adventure was fun. Farming the same ones every week for 2 years was not.
-
Most people say they hated Mercury, but not me. I loved the adventures there, running through the somewhat "Infinite Forest" doing the three Adventures with their cool modifiers. I always looked forward to doing them and trying out new weapons and tactics. Adventures were a good mix of short story with enjoyable gameplay, zero stress and a small bit of challenge when playing solo. I do miss them.

Yeah, the ones that are on existing planets should remain. I don’t understand why they removed them. Witch Queen had better than adventures though. The Parasite quest, for example, was great. Witch Queen was easily the best dlc launch in the games history.
-
Absolutely agree. They were a nice way to understand the new locations and characters a bit better. Would have been great if we had a couple for witch queen.

No more lost sectors please. Or if they do increase drop rates for exotics
