Anyone else think Warlock lost itself in Light subclass 3.0 changes?

As stated in this video and many other damage number tests of Supers and abilities when they updated 3.0 classes, Bungie seemed to have forgotten Warlocks and what makes them unique. Warlock supers across the board have the weaker of the supers and the ability uptime without any extra benefits. Two examples first are Devour. Although Warlock has an easier time proc it, the other subclasses have a much more robust version of it that they can spam with their different abilities, especially Hunter, who can use devour and go invisible back to back as their class ability is much more adaptable than Warlocks. A second look at arc supers, even Chaos reach, and geomag, it takes longer to deliver a lower amount of damage than what the other two classes can dish out in an instant. See Ehroar's video, which details the issues of the Warlock class despite the 3.0 subclass changes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ZNz_KmrF4&t=17

  • I would say yes. That's partly because warlock's had the better neutral abilities compared to hunters and titans pre 3.0. But now that those abilities are shared, there is for sure an identity crisis going on. If this is the direction they have decided to take, they should double down and make certain aspects universal (ie: the grenade one's). Would give more options to all the classes, so why not?
