Weapon leveling is in need of a rework. Either, like I stated in the title, we need a consumable to boost weapon xp gains or weapon xp gains need to be flat buffed across the board. .7% for a kill…then trials mementoes want level 30 for the shader…then multiple mementoes so multiple level 30 guns. Then nightfall mementoes, gambit mementoes. C’mon!! We don’t all get to sit around and play video games for a living. Some of us have work, kids, families, friends, lives outside of destiny. That’s a lot of grinding. Also weapon crafting needs a rework too but that’s a different post.

It takes like 1 hour and half to take a weapon to level 1 to 16-17, i mean if you do shuro with an hunter well builded.

I feel that if you get a weapon that is deep sighted and it’s one you have crafted, on deleting it you should also receive weapon exp in addition to the neutral elements we already get. However you would only get the experience if you have the weapon(s) in your equipped slots and not in your backpack. The exp gain could be up to 50% of a level if you have completed the deep sight and only 25% if you delete right away or haven’t completed it.

My tip is to use the weapons that you wanna level up. This has worked wonders for me and i got them all up to 16 in no time.
