I’ve been getting a friend into the game and she was ready to upgrade to the deluxe edition of witch queen to get all the current seasonal content, however, unlike on the other platforms, no such upgrade exists on epic. The price of the Deluxe version does not change and there is no upgrade option. When clicking on the "Deluxe Edition Upgrade" in game it takes her to the store page for the full 80$ deluxe edition. Additionally, even if she were to bite the bullet and buy the whole Witch Queen deluxe edition again, she physically can’t. Because she already owns the standard version, the Epic games store wont let her purchase the deluxe version.
The only information I got talking with epic support was that “there was nothing they could do” and we should “subscribe to their newsletter for updates” on the status of the upgrade option.
I’m not expecting to find a fix. The only two options at this point are to have her switch to Steam and re-buy everything so she can play past seasonal content, or to just wait it out and see if this gets fixed soon. Our current plan is just to wait it out and hope it gets added to the epic game store. So I’m making this post just to spread awareness of the issue.
To all the new lights out there playing on Epic, be careful! Don’t buy the Witch Queen Standard Edition unless you’re sure you DO NOT want this year’s passed seasonal content!

It's so bad when the technically correct decision is to purchase the game on Steam. What is the point of the Epic Game Store?? People are baited into situations where they literally can not purchase content for the game that they want to play and actively participate in. The game that you designed, created, and promoted. Why promote EGS with free content if you're going to lock people out of other content? Fix this please! This is literally preventing some people from playing the game and sharing these gaming experiences with their friends and with the community.
