Before anyone talks about the drip, I chose the starter outfit, but swapped out the headgear for the iconic one
it's just easier to draw.
This was originally an accident. I was trying to draw the Yharnam Hunter set and accidentally sketched out some figure with them Kill la Kill-esque eyes. For a month I put it on the side but one day got bored and decided to complete it.
Some challenges was figuring out what drip to give the character.
I decided I would not be drawing the fancy schmancy ones that I love because this was just a side project.
I remembered that the starter set was pretty sick (if you remove the hood), and was a simple shirt, vest, slacks, and bandages.
I decided to add the classic Hunter's cap so I can hide the face.
Hunter's Ax is just easy to draw, but also the first thing I chose for my second run-through of the game.
The pose was just going to be a menacing stand, I was going to give them a Saw Cleaver and Pistol, simple. Then it changed to one leg on a dead beast, but I scrapped that when I realized I don't like drawing fur.
I settled with walking through a Fog Wall. The setting would be the Great Bridge, the boss is Cleric Beast to explain the beginner gear.
I had to use a few brushes for the fog wall. Something like clouds and a water texture. The walls I roughly traced from a picture cause detailed architecture is painful. Coloring is sligthtly based off that picture as well.
The floor is just a gray iron bar texture that I squished poorly.
The effects are me playing with chromatic aberration and bloom. I only recently discovered these babies on Procreate (the drawing app) and they are so fun.
Ill try post the next one once I finish some of the three other side projects I started. Gotta have those buffers!
