Some of you people are legitimately creepy in how rent free some gamers live in your heads. Y’all need to check yourself, and seek out help if need be. I’m saying this both in “you’re weird for this” and “Please seek help for the sake of your health” kind of ways.” Some of you people think about random internet influencers way to much, focus on you.
“Streamer this, streamer that”, THEY DON’T AFFECT YOU.😂😂😂
This cannot be normal social behavior.
-
If I don't watch streamers, then how am I going to know what to complain about on the Forums?
-
People just want other people to blame for any and all things.
-
Sadly this is normal behaviour these days. I'm glad I'm old and won't be around too long to see it devolve further.
-
Aren't you OBSESSED with "streamers" yourself by even making this thread? Seems like a Kakis or Datto fanboy move. 🤦
-
Reminds me of people obsessed with me 🤣🤣🤣 Legit got ddossed mid raid the other day...

It’s because Bungie listens to streamers way too much, and certain streamers are elitist -blam!- who think the game is just for them. I’ve seen these guys suggest that sunsetting was a fine idea, that double-primaries was good for the game and all sorts of nonsense. They may play the game as a job but their ideas are often idiotic and it gets even worse when Bungie listens. Which they do. Datto is a good example. An elitist loser who once demanded Bungie remove an emblem from some players because he didn’t get it. -
Dude your obsession just got blasted. You know what I do? I just don’t click the topic and if I do I just ignore it. Butttt, these people you are talking about, seem to get under your skin. Contradicting huh?
-
You already said the magic word " influencers". Why continue to ignore the fact that their word have value and weight over nine purely because they have a base? Everyone continues to pretend that what they are doing is such a service when in reality all they are doing to running the game. Sbmm is keeping them in Check yet they continue undermine it. I'll give it to them, the top brass know how to convince really dumb people and I can't take that from them. You'll have your stompfest sbmm probably won't last and then it'll be back to what it was.
-
Now let’s look at it the other way, destiny lives rent free in streamers heads. Every decision bungie make can affect the income a streamer or content creator makes. If the population in general stops playing then they most likely also stop watching, so I don’t understand how a streamer cannot read the temperature of the room before coming out with very subjective comments and not understand how actually what they experience is miles apart from what their viewers experience. Anything that makes the game harder for the elite can only make the game harder for everyone else.
-
The people who are constantly clamoring about “the sweats” also need to stfu lol it gets so old
-
Streamers aren't near as gross as their disciples, who keep the cycle of garbage flowing.
-
There are actual psychological reasons people become "star struck". It's a pretty interesting topic to read up on.
-
It’s like how some players blame streamers for everything even though Bungie are the ones that make the changes to the game. Streamers are just another player, their opinion spreads further than ours but that doesn’t mean Bungie listen to it more. They have analytics and data far above anyone and player sentiment (streamer or not) only counts for a small part of non-analytical data they use. When divinity get nerfed, people will bash streamers but the truth is the gun does too much and makers tractor cannon and other de-buff options obsolete. But a lot of people can’t be objective and admit that so they’ll post bashing someone who did.
-
It's so sad too. "Streamers all want SBMM removed so they can stomp casuals!!!!" -shows them evidence that directly contradicts that- "They only said that for YouTube content!!!" There was a time when discussions could be had in these forums...
-
I just feel like streamers certainly aren't beyond criticism, pretty much like everyone else. But when people just have the knee jerk reaction of saying things like they're being "elitist" every single time one of them suggests something it ruins any value criticism about elitism could have. It just looks like people saying whatever they have to to get their way and the people making the comments will often look 10 times more entitled than the streamer.
-
Streamers kill everything that I love in the game by pushing their preferences on me through their direct connection to Bungie devs. Every nerf. Every change. Everything that I personally disagree with in the game is their fault. Also they don't do anything meaningful or expend any effort on their jobs. It's just playing video games.
That's satire, if you didn't catch it.
-
😂 They don't effect me, but they do effect the game in a bad way. what's funny about your post is that they have hard core followers that believe anything they say. There is a word for that, but I'm not sure if I can post it 😂
-
-
What an odd post.
-
You just butchered the phrase lol. That isnt what rent free in your head means.
-
Why are you so obsessed with players that are obsessed with streamers?
-
If the streamer affects the game, they affect the player pretty basic logic
-
I think it happens because people are having fun and content creators post about it for clicks and then Bungie nerfs or ruins the fun because the content creators posting about it to make $ off the clicks.
-
The simps will defend their idols, not realizing idolizing themself would increase their enjoyment of life itself. Yet they weep and decide to cling onto others whilst they get dragged down to hell with them. TL:DR Love yourself and stop loving streamers. They just want your views and money. "But omg grenedderjeke is so kewl" No, he isn't. He clutches a sidearm on controller and thinks he's a transcended being.
-
Para social, it's this inability to actually disconnect from internet people.
-
I’m sure most players don’t care at all about streamers.
