What's the point of Ruffians in Expeditions aside from needing to kill them for the seal? They drop treasure when you kill them but the drill already drops far more than you need and they spawn so late that they disappear unless you actively stop throwing treasure at 80%.
Is anyone at Bungie gonna explain what's going on here, is it bugged or just badly designed?

It's not badly designed, it's just outright stupid. Stupid blueberries just wanna speedrun and get it done, which I understand after you've done it 20+ times, but that's not helping you. My suggestion is, play solo.

They are timed based But nowadays we kill everything super fast so they spawn near 80%+ and of course you are more likely to get blueberries that have no clue about them so they continue to throw the treasure instead of killing it .... I started throwing the engram away to build some times But they they should be hardcodded to spawn at 60 or something or put them with the jammer crew

Ruffians are the most annoying part of expeditions. And only because of how many you need for the seal. It results in me actively throwing treasure off the cliff, up cliffs, and just out of the way so the ruffian can spawn. If you are a victim of my ruffian sabotage, I apologize.

Looks badly designed to me. They could have not had the jammer and had one spawn to stop your drill instead. Or keep the jammer and have them still come out then. But either way someone would moan about that. At minimum they need to change when they spawn since in pub games people just go as fast as they can requiring most that want the seal to party up and farm the first one and repeat.

They should just have the Ruffian spawn with the jammer. This would stop any issue people have with the triumph. I've completed like 50 expeditions and only have 15 Ruffian kills. It's really annoying.
