I was a long time destiny fan that had stopped playing around the time witch queen was announced, since I was both sick and tired of power leveling, and with the announcement of austringer and the like coming back, with the rest and already obtained weapons still sunset. Took a break, came back after the livestream.
Weapon crafting is probably the best thing they’ve done. It’s a little annoying switching to resonant weapons every time they drop just to use them to get the currency, but I can choose not to use the weapon.
Witch Queen’s story is excellent. Ever since season of the splicer (had still been following the game afterwards), the story has been getting better and better, and witch queen feels like the taken king of D1. I’m genuinely impressed, and I haven’t even played the dungeons or raids yet.
Xur and the 30th anniversary event (don’t remember the name, away from computer), is hilarious and also very sad (for Xur) at the same time. I love it, but it’s price tag is a little hefty for it.
Played one game of PvP, did well, haven’t touched it again, probably won’t willingly either.
Overall, it’s been good. Power leveling is still the biggest issue I see. But it feels good to be back.
