I apologise I couldn't get a screenshot of this, but I was laughing too hard at how fast we were dying.
In Blind Well, Tier III, Heroic event. Currently spawns two giant Scorn, If standing on the steps looking toward the entry-exit point of the Well, the one on the left spawns a mountain, a veritable volcano, of Screebs. Screeb Pompeii kept taking out our team when what looks like dozens of screebs all spawn at once and explode in a display of grandeur that would make Gjallahorn go for counselling for its bruised ego.
As a final hurrah, the event spawns MORE Scorn once its completed, so you get to spend a rather disorenting time trying to figure out who the hell is trying to snipe your head off your shoulders while you're gathering your loot. RUDE.
Bungie, please turn it off and turn it back on again. And someone bring a flamethrower, from a distance, for pest control.
Maybe Telesto.

The Scorn version in the Blind Well has always had Scorn spawn in after the event has ended. As for the mass number of Screebs spawning is the mechanic for disrupting the shields on the two bosses. Just need to make sure you're not anywhere near either of the bosses when boss round starts up on a T3 run.

Is it happening more than once, did it happen on a second play of the activity? This week's Tier IV/heroic bosses are Sikariis and Varkuuriis, their invulnerability shields can only be broken by Screeb explosions. So yeah a whole bunch of them spawn and respawn for that reason. Something might have gone a bit wonky in your session and you got an excessive amount of them. Let us know if it happens again, a screenshot or a vid would be perfect if you can.

Edited by Seki: 8/15/2022 12:30:25 PMThe screebs are the way to break the shields. As an individual screeb does little damage, you need a lot of them. Spawns may look ridiculous sometimes, but the amount is forced by the mechanic.

Edited by Crisidelm: 8/15/2022 12:22:19 PMThe Scorns appearing after that Blind Well's finished has been a thing for so long now, I doubt Bungie will ever fix that (it's rather minor after all). About the Screebs, I haven't played Blind Well in a while, I might give it a go and see it for myself.
