Regardless of what you implement elsewhere, I believe the private match Hopper needs some love.
I think it's high time players get custom rule sets to make their own fun in PvP.
Give us access to how much health we have
Games like laser tag, paintball, snipers only would be amazing to play.
Give us access to how we can crank up or lower stats.
We could play no abilities and just gun skill only. We could crank everything up to 100 and just fly around and just have fun.
Make a make shift map that changes every so often so we have a dynamic experience.
This could allow a variety of play styles to thrive throughout the session and people could learn how to adapt to the changes during the game session.
Allow players to ban certain weapons in attempts to balance gameplay.
You could be as crazy as allowing only white weapons, blues, greens, legendaries, exotics only. Choices will vary.
make your own version of gun game
It could start as gjallarhorn and you work your way down to your very own melee.
allow rule sets that bring in vehicles.
I'd love to see a drake just drop out of nowhere and see everybody try to kill each other just to get to it.
how about allow a rule set where the better you do the more perks you get?
Think of like call of duty where if you get enough kills you could nuke the whole map and end up ending it?
To me, this is more entertaining than loot based pvp. I want to enjoy PVP for the sheer enjoyment of PvP. I usually get the loot that I want and then I come back to it whenever I feel like it because I already achieved my goal. But what if I had expanded rule sets and invited people to play?
I think you have nothing to lose if you allow this to happen.
