I started doodling on a rough draft for one of my short stories and decided to play with some ink work. :P It’s been fun experimenting with contrasts as well as a new… genre, I guess? Most of my art lately has been character design and sketches rather than full on scenes, let alone ones like these.
I think the biggest thing I learned was how it’s okay to go with the flow instead of focusing on perfection. Had I stressed perfection, things would’ve looked much more stiff and even messy because of all the corrections I’d be trying to make.
Edit: I left the links in this spoiler, but Aifos helped me fix my pop-up thingies, so don’t forget to check my second post on this thread for the other piece!

Niiiiice. Sometimes I miss using paper n pen, other times I like to abuse my ability to turn back time with my iPad. Trying to not get perfection, I feel that. I literally have to think of Bob Ross whenever something is not perfect, "happy little accidents." And maybe even use that mistake/imperfection to add to the sketch/drawing. Looks kinna Nier-ish and dystopiany and I LOVE the pen marks around the light sources and the frizzly borders. I should try that sometime. And the grass and tree, oh I don't think I'd have the patience! Awesome work! It looks so cool!
oh gosh I realize I haven't updated the Weeb Art gallery in a while ._.
