Let us run strikes solo
Every strike turns into a race of who get the kills for their bounties. Strikes are easy enough to run solo so why not add a solo mode?

Funny you say that. Sometimes when I switch from one account to another, it won't match make me. I have to restart my Xbox to fix it, but I can load up vanguard ops & it will try to match make me, then just launch me into the strike

You’re lucky. I usually get runners who despawn all the enemies. Destiny needs some new strikes or bring back some of the old ones. The Throne World ones are still fun but running the other ones we’ve been playing for years is painful.

4 RepliesI’ve run solo bounties on strikes for a couple of years helps your gameplay immensely. Solo play exists now on the ps5 you know that right?

1 ReplyI think this is a great idea. I like to play the whole strike and kill everything. I understand others just want to get to the end as quickly as possible. Neither preference is “better” than the other so why not just let us solo them so that we can each get what we want?

So the reason it will never be a thing is because bungie doesn't want to facilitate bounty grind ....and lets be honest here 90% of the player that will use this will just to do their bounty then leave mid activity Unless they create a bounty rollback on leaving early or add a step on all vanguard bounty requiring to finish 1 strike I don't see this happen

I don't quite agree with the getting kills for bounties portion. But I think a solo option would be an interesting change. Me personally, I just want to get through them as quick as possible since the only reason to run them is for catalysts or pinnacle rewards.

If you need to do bounties, just play nightfall without matchmaking. Just deal with every enemy until it's too hard for you, then quit and load strike again. Solo mode will destroy matchmaking.

Just do legend nightfall. It won’t matchmake.

1 ReplyThink the problem is they are very easy but give pinnacle rewards for doing 3x weekly with the current burn as subclass . Seems to be a balance issue of easy content but good rewards , if rewards were on higher difficulty maybe like legend then doubt be as much speeding through . It’s very similar to how you can get Exotic Cloudstrike Sniper by running Empire Hunts but since the drop % is same no matter difficulty everyone choose to run lowest adept and fly through so can farm it in 5 minute runs, but bet if drop % was better in more difficult levels or reward of exotic sniper wasn’t in low level PVE then have way less speed runs there too .
