This year's Solstice was way too grindy. I shouldn't have to do dozens of each event when I only have an hour or so a day to play. If the triumphs are to earn silver leaves then each leaf should have counted towards the triumph, not the completions of the events that give them. Example: I can get 5 leaves from a PvP match yet my triumph only went up 1. That takes way too long given an elimination match takes up to 10 minutes and I have to do a hundred of other things for other triumphs that take even longer.
Don't bother replying as I have now muted my notifications for this app. I've ignored many of you already and now all of you will be ignored.

For the first time since Solstice arrived, I didn’t grind it. I didn’t get the seal, I didn’t do everything because… I’m done with this mindless grind.
-
Like most people will say, you haven’t seen grind. Couple of years ago, solstices required dozens of hours just to accomplish anything. Especially getting gear. This year was so simplistic and easy. It made it super boring. And it doesn’t even look good.
-
You surely missed D2 year 1. This was nothing.
-
You haven't seen grind , this was a walk in the park compared to the endless gauntlet of 2020 solstice But I have the voidstreak sparrow, that has the same perk has always on time to show for it
-
first time ?
-
wasnt grindy enough*
-
I had finished the season pass, played a couple rounds of this, bought the glowy armor for like 6k bright dust and went back to not playing D2 until next season.
-
Change this to solstice was boring this year and I’ll agree. Come one seasonal challenges is what we did for this year
-
It really wasn’t.
-
So basically, you're to busy with life to play video games.... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand you wanted to post it here. To let us know you are to busy. Right gotcha. Will pass along to everyone else who missed the post. PSA will read as follows. DayneTreader was to busy with life to play Solstice. For anyone wondering why they don't have the seal, let the truth be heard. Followed by the chant...
1 HOUR DAYS, 1 HOUR DAYS
-
The event ran for 3 weeks. 3 weeks = 21 days. 1 hour a day = 21 hours. If you can't get it done in that amount of time you're either doing it wrong or you need to be considering another pastime. I don't think the so called "grind" was excessive at all. Want the loot? Do the thing, simple.
-
The only problem with the grind was that the boosters didn't kick in until the final week. Overall, the grind was significantly easier this year than in previous years, especially 2018 & 2019.
-
Destiny as a whole originated on being grindy, if you don't like the grind, maybe the game isn't for you. I definitely won't tell you how to spend your time or money but do not try and say this game is too hard, especially considering how easy they have made the game over the years.
-
It was far easier than 2019's. faster too.
-
I only was able to work 6 hours last Monday, and my employer shorted me two hours on my paycheck! Complete BS…
-
Ok go time travel back to solstice 2019 launch and then see how "bad" this year was
-
grind was actually not different compared to previous years. But I can tell that there were no incentives. Making blue to purple was way more sarisfying then just stuffing burning branches in the slot
-
Edited by Mara Sovereign: 8/9/2022 6:18:11 PM100% Either reduce the grind or extend the time-frame, and not just in such seasonal activities but in seasons as well. Most players have real lives.
-
Remember, Bungie's philosophy is if you aren't grinding your junk directly on a belt sander you're not grinding hard enough to deserve rewards.
-
My only issue was 25 games of crucible or gambit for each character. When I saw that I immediately said nope. Did it on only 1 toon and that's it.
-
Haven't played it, no point just for a set of armour
-
I did one set on my Warlock and a few extra rolls for different builds ahead of arc update. Doing one set and finishing the seal was easy.
-
There should have been less focus on the grind to get the armor so more time could’ve been spent trying to grind for the stat rolls you were looking for. By the time I completed unlocking the sets on all three characters I barely had any time to try and make use of the armor focusing.
-
You don't know what you're talking about.
-
Yeah I also realized that you can’t buy the colored armor set from Eververse with brightdust unless you have completely fully upgrade your original set first. I stop after I completed one and said nope I’m done, got more games that are way more enjoyable than to grind solstice. Although, if I knew better, I’d tried for higher stat armors and screw the glows.

This outfit can’t create new immersive and engaging games anymore!😂😂😂 Creativity is down to nil.😂😂😂 ZERO!!! 😂😂😂 That’s what happens when you have team leads who are NOT game developers making your game!😂😂😂They can’t create, so they stick you inside a giant Hamster Wheel and make you run it forever!😂😂😂 I don’t see guardians anymore. I see Hamsters! 😂😂😂 Run guardians, RUN!!! 😂😂😂 What a game!
