Another🖕🏻from Bungie and Sony
Seasonal content such as Guardian Games, Solstice, Festival of the Lost and the Dawning are not free for all players.
I repeat NOT FREE FOR ALL PLAYERS
You have to be a paying customer in order to complete the seasonal content quest.
At the very minimum you need ps plus (not sure about gold for xbox players).
That right there is why it is not free for all players. In Bungie’s mind since they aren’t charging us they figure they can put “free for all players” but because Sony now owns Bungie that phrase would be considered illegal in the eyes of the law and would be considered false advertisement.
How is it False Advertisement?
Because Sony now owns Bungie and still continues to require PlayStation players to purchase a ps plus subscription. The phrase “Free for all players” can not legally be used any more since in order to actually complete the season content quest you need to have access to content that requires ps plus. Because of this that makes it not free for all players. If it was truly free we should be able to complete the entire quest without any subscriptions and without spending a penny but that is simply not true.
What can Sony/Bungie do to make things right?
1: Get rid of the ps plus requirement completely. (The preferred method)
2: Make content that is normally locked behind the ps plus subscription paywall accessible to players without a ps plus subscription during the seasonal events.
3: Be honest and say “For paying customers only”. (The least preferred method)

I like where you are going. Why don’t you go ahead and waste some money and get an attorney that will gladly take your retainer and laugh at you while you lose.
-
-
Yeah! & they should pay for my TV, electricity, & rent since that's all required to play as well!
-
The creativity in finding a loophole to ask for free PS Plus is at least entertaining.
-
Sony has NO control over anything Destiny related. Bungie can’t do anything about the PS plus as it’s a Sony decision and most online games require PS Plus (even some F2P) Just because you have to pay for PS Plus doesn’t mean Destiny isn’t considered F2P. You don’t have to pay for the game but you have to pay for the subscription on your console to play any game, not just Destiny.
-
The game is free to play...as in you don't need to buy the game to launch it. If you want access to all the content, you must pay. That's just how it is with almost any large f2p game. Think of it as an unlimited free trial you can upgrade at any time.
-
In the PlayStation store, under Destiny 2, in the fine print….it says “Access may require PlayStation Plus Membership”.
-
The EVENT is free to play. The ONLINE SERVICE is not. Two separate things here, mate.
-
This has made my day. I’m just gonna skip through everything u just said and mention to u that SONY DONT HAVE THE RIGHTS TO CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT DESTINY 2 U DUMMY
-
Ps plus is only on sony, so it is f2p
-
Bungie doesn't own Sony's platform. Bungie only makes the content that is free to play, following the rules of each platform. You could make the argument that nothing is actually free to play because you still have to pay for your internet, your console/PC, the space you rent or pay payments on. You're lucky we don't have PS exclusives anymore. Stop whining about your own personal defectiveness.
-
I don't think you realize that Bungie isn't in control of Sony. I mean did Bungie take over Sony overnight and I missed it?

Good. New lights are welfare recipients

Edited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 8/7/2022 9:17:15 AMYou are misinformed. Sony has no say on anything bungie does with destiny. Bungie is in full control of anything & everything they do with this game. They acquired bungie due to their live service not to have the rights to destiny. Even before Sony purchased the studio it clearly said in the menu before downloading "ps plus subscription required". Reading is hard.
