A bit of a late 'review' since I caught up to it last month, but yeah, I did end up reading this. And I'm bored enough right now to post about it. I gotta say, [b]this comic is a trip[/b]. I dunno where the author is getting the inspiration for all of this, but I've already subscribed to 15 different small religions, visited 2 Buddhist temples, read 7 variations of the Old Testament, watched 2 -blam!- kids cartoons, rewatched the Prince of Egypt, and talked to 33 Jehovah's witnesses after completing the first two books/volumes just to understand the lore and subtle references behind it all. The most I got from it was the number 7, even though the title says "6 billion". Guess I have to sacrifice a few lambs now. --Now to get in depth-- First off, I gotta compliment the art. To some it may be a bit messy and faces may even be a little uncanny or even stretched, but I think it's part of the charm. And the fact that it's all colored is ridiculous. Is this a weekly? Yes. Yes it is. The establishing shots as well are extremely populated and the amount of detail in it... beautiful. The scale of destruction too. - a tad unrelated, but it reminds me of this series called Her Summon, where the author draws these ginormous beings with such scale and it [url=https://www.reddit.com/r/manhwa/comments/m1214b/her_summon_has_the_best_art_in_any_manhwa_ive/]looks[/url]. I hope the link works, and if it shows, it may be hard to tell what it is cause it doesn't even fit the picture.(the picture is from Her Summon btw, idk why I was reminded of this, completely different art styles.) The aesthetic seems to be very Eastern in design while the beings/creatures and places are more from Western religion. I dig it -- Next is the story. I gotta admit, it was a rough start. The amount of speech bubbles is kind of overwhelming at first, especially during story exposition and the character is speaking in the ancient lingo. You (and the main character) are kind of thrown into the action. After a while, however, that stuff slows down and you can enjoy the dialogue. Or glaze over and skim some of it to go faster, idk, up to you. Binging has its flaws. It is strange to see someone who posts one page a week instead of a chapter (I am used to manga), but with all that art and color, it makes sense. It is quite an interesting story overall, for a fever dream, and I do enjoy seeing the author detail the vastness of his world and how insignificant it can make a single person can seem. Plus, with basically every page released, this dude writes a few paragraphs of lore that sounds like its form a small little bible. Dedication. -- Now for the characters. Yeah, pretty solid characters. There's variation in the design of the main cast which is nice, and each has a personality thicker than two dimensions so thats appreciable. The romance between two characters caught me off guard a bit, thought it was leading to a friend route but whatever, probably skimmed over something. Main character's hair gets shorter every book. peak character development. -- [b]Overall, very enjoyable, a bit heavy on exposition, but the colors, detail, and creativity make up for it. 9/10 would recommend to the insane of mind. Summary Sentence: Girl is summoned into post-apocalyptic heaven as a Lil Uzi.[/b] --some extra comments Book 5 pages 139-140 is such a great page (its one page online). The fact he changed the website background so that a transparent page would work, Genius. And it's pretty too. [spoiler]oh my god I just realized each page has a funny little flavor text in them, like when you hover over something long enough with the cursor and text appears. Wow, this guy is creative[/spoiler] a bit of a messy review. I think it matches the theme.
